Honey, too bad Dua Lipa’s albums sales won’t live up to the hype.

That’s RTD not first week sales. There’s a difference. Ariana had 600k+ RTD. Post Malone I think around 900k?

So based on their RTD estimate, I think the first week sales will be 100-150k.

that’s kind of underwhelming. Is she even gonna beat After Hours second week?

100k is VERY good for Miss Lipa. Her debut album peaked @ #27.

The album is pretty great. Is a solid body of work. I would give it 8. Good in Bed needs to go, probably the only song I didn’t like.

I never spend time on the music forums lmao but just wanted to drop in here that I wouldn’t have considered myself even close to a Dua Lipa fan before, but I am loving this album. Mixes retro with modern sound in a super cool and catchy way. Every song feels unique and memorable in a different way.

    Great job, Dula Peep! <3

Lol who the fuck cares about album sales. We are in the middle of a pandemic and it’s not like albums are the first thing people will go out to buy a t this moment in time. I’m sure Dua and her team know this. Plus the album is a banger and she is reaching critical acclaim and us her fans absolutely love the work she has done. Y’all will do anything to discredit a female artist who just loves to create fun pop music. Not everyone has to be a suicidal green haired mess that whispers on tracks.

How many first week sales did Album of the Year winner Golden Hour have?? How many hit singles? The Grammys will pick what appeals to them… regardless of sales/acclaim.

I think this album might be up their alley. Probably a nod at best though.

There’s a different standard for pop albums. All the recent pop winners that I can think of were blockbuster albums. Dua needs that if she wants to win. This is a weak year however, you don’t even Billie’s numbers. But you need a strong showing still.

As of now, I have The Weeknd winning.

but you can’t compare last year to this. Last year artists were able to promote their records and perform everywhere. We are going through a pandemic that has pretty much destroyed our economy and the music industry. Dua or any artist today won’t have the Ability to do that until who knows when. Also The Weeknd will not win. His music is not what Grammy voters care for.
