July 8, 2019 at 12:58 am #1202965529Someone who really doesn’t enjoy Ed Sheeran’s music that much can appreciate the angle he is trying to take on this album (or should I say collaborations) a lot. Although I really don’t like I don’t care at all.

July 11, 2019 at 9:31 pm #1202971708I like Ed’s album a lot more than I expected.. the pre releases didn’t do it justice! most of the best songs on the album were not even released beforehand! South of the Border, Take Me Back to London, Antisocial, Remember The Name, I Don’t Want Your Money are all really good songs!
ReplyCopy URLJuly 11, 2019 at 10:38 pm #12029717541. Beautiful People – 6/10
A tad boring but the lyrics are good. Khalid does way better than Ed IMO.2. South of the Border – 5/10
Ed Sheeran needs to stop trying to be sexy. Camila does well. Cardi wasn’t needed but whatever.3. Cross Me – 8.5/10
Kinda sounds like something off Starboy. I like it. Chance kills his verse.4. Take Me Back to London – 6/10
Stormzy and have good chemistry. The hook is kinda meh. Ed can’t do that type of trap-ish hook.5. Best Part of Me – 5/10
I love YEBBA but this is song is so fucking boring. Good vocals tho.6. I Don’t Care – 5/10
Okay, so my biggest problem with this song is that it shouldn’t be a duet. They aren’t singing to each other, nor to the same person, so why was this even a collab? Also the production and the verses are terrible but I’d be lying if I say that the hook isn’t catchy. Bieber and Sheeran have no chemistry together. The bridge is great and bumps the song from a 4 to a 5 idk why.7. Antisocial – 8/10
This sounds like an ASTROWORLD reject but that album was excellent.8. Remember the Name – 3/10
Honestly just shut the fuck up.9. Feels – 5/10
The track picks up when it turns to a dancehall-type of beat at the end.10. Put It All on Me – 8/10
This is a bop. Ella Mai and Ed are a really good pair.11. Nothing On You – 4/10
I’m a Spanish-speaker and I can’t fucking stand Paulo Londra. He’s literally a knockoff Maluma. The production is nice I guess.12. I Don’t Want Your Money – 5/10
Kind of a waste of H.E.R but the hook is great. Ed sounds boring. This type of production doesn’t flatter his more sincere/raw delivery. Ella Mai would’ve killed this beat. I could see this being a hit.13. 1000 Nights – 7/10
Meek murders his verse, Ed sounds great as well. Boogie also sounds alright.14. Way to Break My Heart – 3/10
Shut the fuck uuuuuuuup.15. BLOW – 5/10
I’ve cooled down to this song. The three men sound alright but they feel out of place with each other. I also don’t know what’s wrong with Bruno Mars’ vocals but they sound badly mixed and he honestly doesn’t fit in the song.Overall this project was mostly boring (like most Ed Sheeran albums) but there are a few good cuts.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 11, 2019 at 10:40 pm #1202971756This will probably get into Pop Vocal given how much industry support it’ll get. It isn’t a bad album overall. 5.5/10.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 11, 2019 at 10:46 pm #1202971767Not bad, not great either. it has its moments. some times they’re moments where Ed should’ve been there then I forget its his album lol.
I have a felling the critics are gonna rip it to shreds tho…

July 11, 2019 at 11:04 pm #1202971786I mean let’s be real, the critics hate Ed Sheeran. He could make the best album ever and they’ll still complain. So who cares what they say…
I love the album. Every single song is quite enjoyable.
Edit: oops I forgot “I Don’t Care” exists.

I don’t think so. But Cross Me is probably my favorite Ed Sheeran song atm. Anyways I’m not a fan of the whole body of work. And I’m not a dilusonal Stan. My favorite artists have at time put mediocre to really bad music. But I really makes me enjoy their more better work.

July 12, 2019 at 1:05 am #1202971891Firstly Oscar, the tastelessness leaped!
Secondly, Ed remembered how to make a decent project… good for him.
Thirdly, strange how this album has like 8-9 RnB/Hip Hop leaning songs but will definitely compete in Pop Vocal whole Khalid’s arguably Pop album won’t.
