The Big day is Saturday, May 18 (the final) but it starts on Tuesday, May 14. It is in Israel this year at Expo Tel Aviv.
How would you rank the songs this year? Favs/Least favs? I’ll post my thoughts on each in a little bit. Have to listen to the last three but I’m only loving like ten of these.

Hasn’t followed this year’s songs closely, but from what I’ve heard, the Netherlands, Sweden and Italy are my favorites.

    5. Sweden
    6. Russia

    8. France
    9. Aremenia
    10. Denmark

The Netherlands are currently favourite to win, although this will most likely change when we see the first rehearsals. (Cyprus wasn’t even top 25 this time last year, until rehearsals were released where it then shot up to #1; eventually coming 2nd in the Grand Final).

The Netherlands one is a classic, from the ones I’ve heard so far…

I would also not underestimate France’s entry.

    Cyprus is so cliché…

Edit: well my post didn’t age well. I think the french one is the best entry imo now… I hope it wins

    Cyprus 2019 is like Cyprus 2018 2.0

Can’t tell about decade but it’s the weakest year since 2016.

I am starting to like Great Britain’s song a lot more now. Sticks in your head.

For a country where Adele, Sam Smith, Florence + The Machine, Queen, Ed Sheeran, Elton John  are from, their entries are always underwhelming to me. Maybe because I’d expect more from them.

    This year is no different.

I’m so torn between France and Netherlands. France has a good stage presence while Netherlands song sounds better in the studio version.

Agreed 100%. They have given us so many icons and then when it comes to Eurovision, they kinda seem to not really care.

Yeah, United Kingdom stopped caring about Eurovision after 2000.

To be honest, I expected a better song from Russia. Sergey Lazarev’s 2016 entry was really good, and I still believe that he should have won in that year. “Scream” is a kind of disappointment compared to “You Are The Only One.”

Sergey’s song will be much better live than the studio version (like the majority of ESC ballads).
