Taylor Swift has a great Christmas EP, a highlight is “Christmases When You Were Mine”
Dave Barnes has an absolutely terrific holiday album as well, Very Merry Christmas. Listen to his song “Family Tree”, it’s one of the most poignant Christmas songs I’ve ever heard.December 6, 2011 at 10:08 pm #377552
Really all of Sufjan Stevens’ Songs for Christmas. My favorites are likely to be “That Was the Worst Christmas Ever!” and “Sister Winter.” All of the songs on it are good, however.December 7, 2011 at 4:16 pm #377553

“All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey hands down. It is extremely hard to listen to that song and NOT smile and get into the holiday spirit. A classic already.December 9, 2011 at 5:36 pm #377557
Dave Barnes has an absolutely terrific holiday album as well, Very Merry Christmas. Listen to his song “Family Tree”, it’s one of the most poignant Christmas songs I’ve ever heard.
Yeah, I love his album. Outside of Amy Grant, it’s the best original Christmas tracks I’ve ever heard: “Very Merry Christmas”, “Christmas Tonight”, “Mary and Joseph”, “I Pray On Christmas”, etc.
He’s actually on my list of the Top 15 Christmas Originals:
And for kicks, here’s my list of the top 15 Christmas Renditions (ones that are a little bit out of the box):
In terms of albums, yeah, Celine Dion’s is fantastic, but my favourites are Amy Grant’s Home For Christmas and A Christmas To Remember, Sheryl Crow’s Home For Christmas, and Faith Hill’s Joy To The World.December 9, 2011 at 8:20 pm #377558
