Time Magazine released its list of potential finalists for their prestigious “Person of the Year” award. On the list which has Pope Francis, Malala Yousafzai and Hillary Clinton also has four musicians for their contributions to music and other issues. The four artist are
For reasons everyone should know she’s been everywhere since “Hello” dropped and has the Fastest Selling Album of All Time.
For her pushing issues for African American and Female Social Issues into the headlines.
For his headline making year which includes beef with another rapper and his two chart topping albums.
For her overall influence over the music industry and work towards better compensation for songwriters and music producers. Taylor was a finalist last year for this title losing to the workers in the Ebola Crisis.
If I had to pick Adele and then Taylor have the best chance of being named finalists but I believe that Malala Yousafzai or Pope Francis will end up with the title after their unbelievable year that both had this year.November 26, 2015 at 1:48 am #414111
Honey, this honor belongs to Adele for obvious reasons. The other three just don’t compare.November 26, 2015 at 5:04 am #414112
I’m actually incredibly thrilled that Nicki is finally being recognized — in a positive way — for speakin out against sexism and racism in her industry instead of just being labeled the “angry black woman” as she has been before. She’s incredibly articulate and insightful on these issues and more people should take note of what she has to say.November 26, 2015 at 5:46 am #414113
Kendrick Lamar should’ve been on here instead instead of the self-degrading Nicki Minaj.November 26, 2015 at 6:24 am #414114
If we are saying ”person” of the year it should be Nicki ftw but when it comes to both music and personality Adele snatchesNovember 26, 2015 at 6:52 am #414115

Adele is the Person of the Year in Music, but in general the right choice should be Malala.November 27, 2015 at 1:05 am #414118
Yes Adele would of been the perfect choice for Person of the Year in music. Just like Taylor would of been last year but selling records and curing Ebola ain’t exactly on the same level.November 29, 2015 at 10:59 am #414119
Seriously? Is this what journalism has turned to? Nicki only screamed about these issues because it affected HER… because she wasn’t nominated for an award. Not because she actually cared about those issues. Ugh.November 29, 2015 at 11:10 am #414120
She always makes statements about feminisim online she was just recognized about the VMA one because media……November 29, 2015 at 1:08 pm #414121
Nicki Minaj is a joke, and she shouldn’t have been considered at all.November 29, 2015 at 1:34 pm #414122
Nicki Minaj?!?! You’ve got to be frickin’ kidding me. TIME must be desperate for potential nominees if they are considering that twat as a Person of the Year. The local dog catcher would be a better choice.
