I’m really questioning whether I should really listen to 17 Justin Bieber tracks.

The year, so far, hasn’t been so great regarding the mainstream. Any recommendations for 2020 underground artists? (Note: I’d prefer Folk, Americana, Alternative and Rock. Other genres welcome too).

Not really following this year and not a fan of what I have heard so far. Im looking forward for U.S. Girls´s new album that is coming on March 6th. Give the singles a listen, maybe you will like them.

Listen to Brandy Clark’s new songs from her upcoming record, probably not for most people on this forum but if you’re into folkier stuff she’s one of my favorites

I’ll always plug Kalie Shorr’s debut Open Book, she’s really got the sharper lyricisms I’ve been missing from Kacey Musgraves after her debut

It’s electronic music (which could fit into the “Alternative” category), but I really liked Katie Gately’s new album, which is called Loom. Dedicated and designed in memory of her mother, who passed away recently.

It’s a bland album, but I would like to hear your thoughts on the album.

Listened to Changes. It’s basically what I expected in terms of being boring and forgettable.

    All Around Me – 7/10
Nice starting track tbh. Pretty sweet ode to Hayley

    Habitual – 5/10
It’s alright. It’s not very interesting but it’s decent.

    Come Around Me – 3/10
    Booooring

    Intentions – 4/10
Why is this a single? It’s not complete trash by any means but it’s definitely not single-like.

    Yummy – 1/10
    No.

    Available – 1/10
At this point, you get tired of the trap beats and the love lyrics. Also this track is all over the place.

    Forever – 1/10
Can someone please get rid of Pooh Bear and hire actual songwriters to write these hooks? Where is the budget? He’s literally Justin Bieber, get him good producers and songwriters. This track is stale.

    Running Over – 0/10
    Lil Dicky???? LIL DICKY?????

Take It Out On Me – 0/10
The amount of terrible lyrics and “puns” in this song and album is disgusting.

    Second Emotion – 1/10
I’m guessing this is gonna be his Rap Sung entry or smth

    Get Me – 2/10
At least it’s not another trap song. Kehlani saves this song from a 0.

    E.T.A – 1/10
    Ugh.

    Changes – 4/10
At least it’s not complete shit.

    Confirmation – 6/10
The lyrics are spotty but the intention is good enough.

    That’s What Love Is – 4/10
I like the guitar work but it being looped so many times kinda sours the song a bit.

At Least For Now – 4/10
Not to be that guy but this album is gonna sound real weird if they ever divorce.
Anyways, like most of the ballads on the album, it’s spotty, but I appreciate the sentiment.

    Yummy (Remix) – 1/10
Did we need another version of this song?

    Overall 3/10

It’s just so damned repetitive and bland. The production doesn’t change (no pun intended) throughout much of the project.

While The Slow Rush never reaches the heights of Currents, it’s a great project.

    One More Year – 6/10
    Groovy but a bit messy

    Instant Destiny – 8/10
Very stong hook and production. Verses could’ve been tighter.

    Borderline – 8/10
I remember listening to this back when it came out but I honestly forgot about it. It’s a fun song.

    Posthumous Forgiveness – 7/10
The staccato parts near the middle kinda kill the groove of the song a bit.

    Breathe Deeper – 9/10
Terribly fun. You can’t help but dance.

    Tomorrow’s Dust – 8/10
Bopping continues through. Love how structure-less the song is.

    On Track – 8.5/10
I was crying on the first minute and a half wtf Kevin. This is one of those songs that perfectly encapsulates the term “mixed emotions”. It’s all over the place but that feels intentional

    Lost In Yesterday – 8.5/10
Definitely single material. The hook is very addictive and the structure is closer to a pop song.

    Is It True – 8/10
Another song that could be a single, though the production is a bit too repetitive at times. Sounds like something Kevin would’ve written for another artist.

It Might Be Time – 8/10
Definitely one of their rock-est songs in recent years. Fun groove

    Glimmer -7/10
It’s just an interlude but it’s pretty fun to dance to.

    One More Hour – 6/10
Honestly kinda boring, which is a shame because the last track should be one of the best.

    Overall: 8.5/10

Pop Smoke dying like that is so unfair.

At least one rapper dies every year. Y’all shouldn’t be shocked anymore.

grimes’s new album is like your favorite twitter meme writer trying her hand at a long-form essay, only to find out she has no sense of natural progression and is screaming for the next paragraph after two sentences

    Sounds like a Pitchfork review.
