I don’t think eliminating the BRP will change much of anything. The nominations process is quite different from the final voting, so upset wins are still quite possible either way. Inconsistencies happen at every award show.

R&B voters are so unpredictable. They can throw popular acts in your face with nominees and will still pick upsets as your winners.

They literally love Beyoncé and HER. No matter what. They’ll never leave them hanging .

AOTY nomination does not always indicate support is the big lesson for me 😭

Nice show. The Corona setting was actually pretty great. The Grammys have had the exact same stage for years. Nice change. More relaxed. Nice space and stages for all performances. Glad they learned from the Schitts Creek Emmy Party.

Not enough awards as usual and Billie winning Record really brought down whatever excitement they gave us by spreading the wealth like that. Even Harry and Bieber won something? What a dull way to end the evening. Glad voters got a moment of “somebody else should’ve won this”. I don’t get this win at all.

I feel conflicted when it comes to the BRP. Sometimes they make the weirdest choices and block unnecessary artists, but being for real, i feel like they set us up for a lot of surprises. Just like Lemon said, if it wasn’t for the BRP, the Grammys would be as basic as the BBMAs and even way more predictable.

It has been almost 12 hours after the ceremony ended, and I can say that the BRP blocked a bunch of pop and alternative favorites (Gaga, Harry, Fiona, Phoebe, Brittany, Beck)

I think the BRP shouldn’t be removed but there should be more transparency of who is in there. they probably wouldn’t block that obvious if the gp knew who votes for it. it definitely is amazing though how smaller artists can get GF noms through the panel, but the undeserved (!) blocking of certain artists just because the BRP personally doesn’t want them is annoying & should stop.

Swift will never get nominated in AOTY again. They are not going to risk her winning an unprecedented 4th win there.

I can see her getting SOTY if she writes for another artist that gets a giant hit out of it

The grammys were great: diverse winners, the outside venues, the performances! were all great (brittany howard, Taylor, Black Pumas, Billie, Haim!!) and im pretty happy with the winners.

Personally, Fiona getting 2 wins for the masterpiece that is FTBC made me super happy, and the gorgeous, magical Folklore, (that was personally my fave album of the year) winning AOTY was the best moment of the night.

    Overall, great grammys!

y’all said this after she won for 1989.

Congratulations to Grammy Winners: Jazmine Sullivan, Doja Cat, SZA and Olivia Rodrigo!

Honey, I’m shook that the Grammys think it’s okay to give black artists a shitload of R&B and Rap Grammys but NOT any General Field awards.
