Sam Fender
Basically this. His debut album, Hypersonic Missiles was released within eligibility period and has gathered acclaims, currently 81 on Metacritic.

Do others agree about adding BTS and Juice WRLD? I could see them both easily being nominees or also disqualified because the academy decides they really broke out in a previous year.

Black Pumas and Tank and the Bangas taught me never to say never in Best New Artist 😉

Highly doubt BTS make it past the screening panel. I don’t think Juice WRLD will either, but he’d make more sense.

I think the panel will not consider BTS because they already made an impact on the US, however, i wouldn’t be surprised if they make it to the final group just to make fans happy. i’ll say include them, but let’s consider these factors i just mentioned while doing predictions 🙂
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 29, 2020 at 3:48 pm #1203743115I’m gonna hold off on BTS and Juice WRLD for now. They’re so high-profile that they’ll probably get lots of people predicting them right away, and I don’t want to do that if I end up having to pull them out. Voting starts soon so if we find out they’re up for Best New Artist after all, it’ll be easy to add them with plenty of time before nominations.

I was just gonna say that, Daniel. Let’s wait until submissions are out and then see.
