I’ll second the “9 to 5” winning over any of the nominees that year.

Norman Fucking Rockwell deserved over bad guy

Put Your Records On deserved over Not Ready to Make Nice

We Belong Together deserved over Sometimes You Can’t Make It on Your Own

    Jesus Walks deserved over Daughters

You Oughta Know deserved over Kiss from a Rose

Fast Car deserved over Don’t Worry Be Happy

9 to 5 deserved over Bette Davis Eyes

I’m sorry, but I really dislike that band. I find them boring, lame and obnoxious. I know there are people who like them, but I personally hate their music. Okay?

In my opinion, the best SOTY winner of all time is either “Bridge over Troubled Water” or “Every Breath You Take”. The worst is that shitty 1977 tie.

“We Are Young” gave Janelle Monae a #1 single. I’ll give it that.

    👑Cicely Tyson (1924-2021)
    👑Mary Wilson (1944-2021)

LMAOOOOOOO. I do like that song and it definitely should’ve taken Male Pop Vocal as Ricky’s charismatic vocals are what makes it so infectious but it’s not a great songwriting achievement. Sorry, but I’m sticking with Santana with TLC as my runner-up.
