Outside of this bubble there are many people who find ALL the GF categories fishy for snubbing what would have been some of the biggest competitors – Fiona, Abel, and Brittany. Like I’ve said before this forum is mostly Swift fans so they don’t like it, but that’s okay.

This is the second year in a row Emily King surprises us with a random R&B nomination. Is she Fucking someone on the committee??? We need to Know.

Yebba showed up too. I’m never underestimating them or Anderson. Paak again

This goes to show y’all that there are several other factors that go into nominations. Some artists have more support than others within the academy. At the end of the day this goes to show you that the academy don’t give a fuck about whose song is everywhere, whose topping the charts and whose performing on every show. Beyoncé and Tay obviously have a lot of support within the industry and the recording academy, they did nothing drop their projects and disappeared, they let their music speak for itself. I also mentioned to you guys that Max Martin hasn’t been very strong in the general field other than scoring nods for generic pop songs. I knew it was bad news for The Weeknd when neither of his producers showed up in producer of the year nor his album in engineered album.

Submitting to pop was the end of weeknd, they dont like switching genres unless its so obvious like fearless to 1989

remember red got 0 win(it got nominations tho), no country nom for taylor even though she is submitting them for last two albums(soon you’ll get better, betty)

maybe they really blocked weeknd for potential sweep in soty and roty but i think he deserved aoty nom for sure

I’m sorry but WTF is Jacob Collier? lmao

First time since I follow the Grammys that I have to google an AOTY nominee

Iknew of him becuase of “I Heard You Singing (feat. Becca Stevens and Chris Thile)”. Great song. Only song I actually like from him actually besides the one on the nominated album I’m going to mention. No offense to anyone who is a fan of him here (are there any?) but Djesse Vol. 3 only has one really catchy song in my opinion (“Running Outta Love” featuring Tori Kelly). Definately a weird pick for AOTY tbh

Abel should submit his album to progressive R&B. At least he will get Starboy treatment, missing general field but slaying genre field.

Congratulations to Taylor Swift on her third Album of the Year.

(And if not, congrats to Dua Lipa on her first.)

I’m so disgusted by these nominations. Abel’s snubbing will go down as one of the most historic Grammy upsets of all time. It’s that significant and egregious a repudiation. He made a bold, edgy, conceptual album that should have been acknowledged in some form or another. Maybe going pop instead of R&B was risky, but that’s no justification for BRP’s BULLSHIT in the GF! If I were him, I wouldn’t submit any recordings for future Grammy consideration moving forward.

The Weeknd snub helps Beyoncé a lot. She will pull a Childish Gambino and she will win ROTY and SOTY for Black Parade

    – First GF nomination since Lemonade snub
    – Overdue veteran
    – BLM song

Since a white artist will win AOTY again and Blinding Lights who was the frontrunner was snubbed the only way to avoid backlash will be giving ROTY and SOTY to another black artist. And that choice will be Beyoncé.

Also Jack was nominated while none of Duas producer was. That bodes well for Folklore. They basically got the same amount of noms except that Taylor missed in ROTY and got into Visual Media.

This 100% factually not true. Andrew Watt produced Break My Heart on Dua’s album.
