Thom Yorke has a better album than Suspiria, he has ANIMA. Thanks for the thread! I think this list has more to do with rock than with alternative album, but it’s a great start.

I know, but Anima is too electronic for alternative album.

Vampire Weekend has one of my fav albums of the year so far but I am curious to see what Bruce’s album is received. I think the Grammy Awards voters will love it

Bruce should submit his album for best americana. This year other legendary rock acts like Paul McCartney, U2, Judas Priest, Lenny Kravitz, Nine Inch Nails, Dave Matthews Band and Robert Plant were completely snubbed.

My ony locks for rock album are Greta van Fleet, Slipknot and Gary Clark.

They wouldn’t care because he is an alternative artist. Beck’s Colors wasn’t really alternative either and it still won the category.

I’d love to make predictions for the Rock Field, but that is, just like the Dance one, a mess. Obviously the committees don’t even try to nominate the most voted albums/songs, it’s all too random to make decent predictions with the exception of 1 or 2 nominees in each category, so I’m out.

I believe Bruce will have at least one nomination, but I’m not feeling Rock Album, but Rock Performance for whatever he submits. The last time a solo singer was nominated for Rock Album was James Bay in 2016, in the same year he was nominated for Best New Artist. I’m not sure they’d want to nominate non-bands these days.

The winner of rock performance will be another dead rock musician; maybe Chester Bennington or Tom Petty.

It’s possible, but I was just predicting a nom for Springsteen, not a win.

Tom Petty and Chester have past wins, so maybe they won’t even be nominated.  They could also split the vote if they’re both nominated, although Tom Petty would obviously be the frontrunner.

I need The 1975 to FINALLY breakthrough with some noms please and thank you!

Best Rock Performance: “Love It If We Made It”
Best Rock Song: “Love It If We Made It”
    Best Alternative Album

…and then Album of the Year.

My only fear is that none of the songs on this album are super “rock” …they are more pop, electronic, jazz, alternative and experimental. I think “Love It If We Made It” is their most rock-sounding single… so hope they submit that.
