This thread it for this year’s Grammys not next year’s, but to answer your question it’s theoretically eligible but could get pushed to Pop by the screening committee and would likely be blocked for a nomination even if that doesn’t happen.

Perhaps what is needed is a general thread (not just Grammy related) for “alternative” (= no mainstream) music. There was a “general music thread” but it was literally impossible to discuss something outside your usual pop /mainstream hip-hop, rock or whatever.
