I don’t know why they always have so few televised awards. Like I get it, it’s “music’s biggest night” and live music is all about performances, but it’s still an award show so would it kill them to alternate between one televised award and one performance?

Imo performances are great because in this way the show feels really like a celebration of music and not only a long list of winners/losers. I think I wouldn’t mind prerecorded performances + zoom acceptances and speeches IF they do like Golden Globes and they try to still do some kind of “red carpet” and they put effort in dressing up etc. Otherwise it’s gonna be lame and boring. If they take some precautions this could actually be fun and unique but knowing the Grammys it’s gonna be a shitshow.
