I too went solid for Rennaisance in AOTY but some Beyhives are a bunch of disrespectful and annoying people.
Kanye did it to Taylor before then some Beyhives heckled Harry in the show. I wonder when are they going to do a Will Smith and who will be the next victim.

They be saying shit like “*objectively* Beyonce is the artist of our generation”. Nothing makes me happier than when people who can’t accept other people having a different opinion lose. There is no objectivity when it comes to art.
Historically, the Grammy voters for aoty don’t reward explicit lyrics, so Kendrick can’t expect to win with songs like this on the album, and Beyonce has similar on Cuff It and others.

And let’s not forget Taylor pushed Red TV, a re-recording of an old album that was previously nominated already, for a literal AOTY nom. 🤪 Thankfully they didn’t nominate it in this category.

Taylor swears FIVE times on the entire album whereas Kendrick swears five times in two lines of a song sometimes. You’re busy squawking about old white voters in every post but won’t accept that this type of very conventional adult doesn’t like their ears being bombarded by ‘bitch’ and ‘fuck’ every line? They’re not going to ‘get used to it’ either.

ReplyCopy URLI thought the show was incredible. It exceeded last years ceremony in every way. Even the nominees were MILES better than last year. Bad Bunny opening the show was a great start of the night. Lizzo, Brandi, Kacey & Bonnie’s Tribute were probably the best performances. I was quite lost with the first Half of the Hip Hop 50 Tribute, but once Queen Latina & Missy hit the stage, It was all better from there. The stage design was beautiful but holy hell the seating was awful. They all looked so squished up against each other and there was very little space for them to even move. They should seriously bring the format of having theatre seating like in previous years. And also they should bring the format where you could see each of the nominees on camera before their award is announced. That just increases the anticipation. I understand that the nomination slots have increased but it is still possible. A far as the winners: I was extremely happy with all of the wins, except Harry’s. I liked Harrys House but it was nowhere near better than Renaissance, 30, Or Mr. Morale. Im Sorry, but it wasn’t. It lacked production elements that Adele, Beyonce & Kendrick succeeded in. If there is anything I learned from the Best Pop Vocal Album category, is that it usually goes to the albums with the biggest rollouts and Harrys was the biggest one nevertheless. So that win kind of made sense. It was so unusual seeing Adele lose. It didn’t feel nor look right, especially when she kept loosing to an undeserving album. But I am over the moon with her Best Pop Solo Performance win. That one was so well deserved. I am so happy Lizzo won. It was well earned. About Damn Time is a great record that perfectly represents the year. Beautifully well produced and her vocal performance was great. The Grammys this year was similar to 2021 where they spread the love to everyone. Beyonce, Bad Bunny, Adele, Lizzo, Kendrick, Samara, Sam & Kim wins were all so well deserved. Overall the ceremony had its strengths it hadn’t had in years. It was entertaining, you couldn’t keep your eyes off it. It was suspenseful and thrilling until the very last second. It perfectly represented what 2022 in music was. Great ceremony.
It did not lack ‘production elements that Adele, Beyonce & Kendrick succeeded in’, you poor fool. How the hell would it have won Best Engineered album if that was the case? All the critics said its production was superb.
