I would move Best Music Video to the telecast forever. This one of the most interesting categories for general public. Should be treated as one of the most important categories. I’m not saying General Field, but something like Best Pop Vocal Album yes.

Beyoncé is coming. No way she’s up for 9 trophies but doesn’t show up.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Adele appears. Las Vegas is a 45-minute flight from Los Angeles. She just won’t perform.

I was thinking about Adele’s situation and the fact that she’s not coming to perform means that probably:

1- She lost GF but won Pop Solo and Pop Vocal Album;
2- She won AOTY,ROTY,SOTY and Music Film but lost the other categories;
3- She just won 1 award – Music Film – since Adele’s One Night Only won Emmys, it’s her easier choice to have at least 1 guaranteed win.

4- What if she loses both Music Video and Film?

Adele is not performing because she has a concert day before. It not has any connection with the Grammys results.

And that they at least manage to involve her in some way. Either with a virtual speech/appearance from Las Vegas (like they did with Tony Bennett) or a pre-recorded performance at her Residence.

Y’all are reading too much into this. She will be too tired if she doesn’t attend. She would probably have to cancel her show to attend. She probably doesn’t want to do that.

Honey, Beyoncé seems over the Grammys.  I do NOT think those 9 nominations mean anything to her.  She has received 9 and 10 nominations previously.  There has to be a major reason for her to attend/perform (breaks all-time record, wins Album of the Year).  If Bey attends and one of her genre categories is televised, we know she broke the record.

It can also be a pre-recorded or recorded presentation without an audience (as was done in quarantine). Although I guess the rent for the site plays into that quite a bit.

 

Gosh, I don’t care anymore if it’s just her at her house/apartment from an online call but I want her to show up.

Mary and Kendrick fucked up beys chances those left over rnb and rap votes could have helped her. If she don’t win none of the dance category it’s over cuz she needs that dance votes pronto

Kendrick was gonna be nominated regardless. She wasn’t escaping that. I’d say 98% of that field are rallying Kendrick rn. I could be wrong and it’s 100%. He’s that much of darling there.

Beyoncé definitely has the Dance Field Block behind her but that’s not enough. That block isn’t strong in the GF. I do agree that Mary J did some damage to her AOTY chances. I’m convinced that majority of R&B voters definitely threw bones to her.
