Honey, Bruno Mars/Silk Sonic are NOT competition for Adele (a white woman).  Ms. Adkins checks off all of the boxes.

Ghost was made a single in the US back in September, I don’t really see how it could be eligible for this year seeing as it can’t be submitted as an album track

Ghost is not a bad song, but I don’t expect it to be nominated across the board. It will probably get a BPSP nomination and, hopefully, that’s it.

I remember 2019 when many people here thought Maggie Rodgers would get nominated everywhere and then she only got into BNA. I think she’ll only be nominated again if she’s ever eligible for Best Alternative Music Album. But not this year. There’s no room left. lol

wait, who are the contenders for Best Alternative Music Album?

For BNA it’s looking like Muna and Wet Leg are the indie favourites so far. Everyone always predicts generic top 40 artists and then they get snubbed. To predict BNA you have to look at what’s hot on indie music blogs, Tiny Desk, KEXP, etc.

It would be great see Wet Leg get a BNA nomination and I loved their NPR Tiny Desk.

Since “Chaise Longue” was released on streaming in mid 2021, it might not be eligible for any song or performance categories, unless they release a “live” version. Their album Wet Leg has just been released this month and has been getting good reviews.

‘Psychofreak’ by Camila Cabello and Willow is actually a really good pop song. If it manages to become a hit and does well, I would rather see this in BPDGP than ‘Bam Bam’.

It would depend if they submitted it already. If not, they can submit it now because it’s on an album being released this cycle. It would be similar to Truth Hurts.

Her team would still submit Bam Bam bc it has Ed Sheeran’s name on it.
On the other hand, is WILLOW eligible for BNA? She wouldn’t be a bad contender

I’d love to se MUNA nominated, and the BNA field is looking so dry it might actually happening. From Camila’s album, i enjoyed her song with Maria Becerra, but like nxddyfs said she’s gonna submit Bam Bam because of Ed (and because is doing compared to her other last few singles).
