Megan Thee Stallion revealed in her Rolling Stone interview that she will be dropping her sophomore second album this summer. I wonder if she can get into Best Rap Album this time? By the sounds of things, this album will be a lot more coherent than Good News maybe.
This summer is honestly looking like one of the best yet for music releases – the likes of Beyoncé, Lizzo, Calvin Harris are all confirmed, and Megan, SZA and Chloe are highly anticipated!
Even if Beyoncé doesn’t win AOTY this time, she could have a chance with Act 2 which I’m presuming will be released for the 2024 eligibility period.
Obviously we’ll have to see the content of the album(s) but I can’t see it missing or flopping, it’s Beyoncé after all.
Almost all the songs are marked as explicit on the album tracklist on Apple Music which is interesting. I feel like she might be going for a split genre theme with act 1 maybe being more of the ‘urban’, hip-hop sound and act 2 more of her pop and R&B roots. This is literally just a guess though.
Can’t wait!
Best Progressive R&B Album is already stacked as it is with so many good contenders, and if Renaissance is put into that category then she’s locked for a win.
Get real! The racist Grammys will easily let Adele beat Beyoncé in Album of the Year again. Old white voters are NOT voting for Beyoncé over Adele. Duh!

Lizzo will beat Beyoncé again. Beyoncé will lose bigger to Adele this time. Lizzo is one of the biggest stars of the moment. Lizzo will pull of a Pharell and beat Beyoncé in the genre categories.
She always makes things easy for her. I do think Lizzo would’ve won either ROTY or SOTY if it weren’t for the committees.
