lattos 777 album underperformed so bad i don’t think it has a chance in rap album category but i see big energy winning best rap song and maybe melodic rap

Mariah’s remix of Big Energy made no noise. I don’t understand why some have been crediting her for Big Energy in their predictions. I know we all wanna see Mariah being nominated, but we must wait until her next studio album and hope that her alphabetical order privilege helps her in the R&B field.

• Big Energy is getting in
  • Rap Song (lock due to alphabetical order privilege, the Best Friend of 2023)
  • Melodic Rap Performance (we’ll see)
  • and maybe even SOTY (wouldn’t be surprised)

Taylor Swift is not ahead of Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and even Lady Gaga in BPSP. It doesn’t matter if All Too Well debuted at #1. The others’ names are much more accessible in the ballot and there’s the whole recency factor.

All Too Well is probably higher than Doja’s submission & Hold My Hand in ROTY though, because of cross-genre appeal. And if eligible for SOTY, it’s a lock, but as great as the song is, should it be eligible after a whole decade?

If the category is in the rap field, and Kendrick submits and gets nominated he is winning. I don’t want a rap song nomination for Latto as Dr. Luke would be nominated although I am not ruling out the possibility. Although I do have a question, I know the rap field and community in general like MC’s who are known for penmanship, Big Energy has 11 co-writers (13 with the remix).

i love me some kendrick but N95 came and went fast but his album has no competition so far in the rap album category so he’s still frontrunner in that category
