Even more new categories and rules? Unless it’s just clarifying the rules for the new Social Change and Songwriting categories which were announced previously?

I don’t think they’re adding any more categories at this point of the year, but after the last minute addition of 2 extra slots in GF categories last year, who knows?

Since we’re eventually going to talk about this, I just wish they’d create songwriting categories for Pop, Alternative and Dance/Electronic and bring back the separate Solo & Duo/Group Rap Performance categories. I would also like to see Melodic Rap & Rap/Sung Collaboration being split apart, but I believe the latter doesn’t have much prominence in Rap anymore now that Rihanna & Justin Timberlake retired.

Honey, artists should NOT have to campaign for awards (a.k.a. playing the game).  Their body of work speaks for itself.
