Honey, wrong!  If nominated, Fivio Foreign, Jack Harlow, Nicki Minaj, Harry Styles, and Summer Walker are NOT going home with Grammys.

Latin America is called like that because it is the part of the continent that speaks a Latin language. That is true. And it is that way because Spain colonized the countries and forced the language. Now, latinidad is now a cultural aspect and an ethnicity that Spain does not share. The calling of contemporary spaniards colonizers is nonsensical though. And I think there is something really beautiful in sharing cultures if done respectfully.

I’m not calling Rosalia a colonizer, I’m saying that she benefits from being part of a first world country, a country that oppressed our third world continent for literal centuries, and that calling her Latina or giving her Latin awards or acting like her receiving a nomination and Bad Bunny receiving one would be “the same” because they both speak in Spanish is ridiculous and a slap in the face. I have nothing against Rosalia and I don’t blame her for things that happened in the 1500s, but I’m also not gonna act like it didn’t happen or that people who grew up in Spain as opposed to Puerto Rico don’t have an INSANE advantage in life.

The cherry on top is that they don’t even sound like they’re speaking the same language (Catalan aside) 🤪

So nominations all over are a lock and a win isn’t out of the question? The bad luck this man has to release a record breaking song at the same time as Adele’s comeback. The worst part is that he fully knew, so it’s not even technically bad luck, just… not caring I guess.

Barbz funniest fanbase of all time plssss

I’m one of the few people here who thinks a nomination for Super Freaky Girl is possible but she is not beating Kendrick under any circumstances. Please accept this already.

I love the implication that either Fivio Foreign is winning BNA or that “We Go Up” is winning a Grammy.

I get it, I just find it super backwards how everyone hates on her for getting nominated in the Latin categories when it literally is not her fault, but the award shows’. She has never claimed to be from Latin America. Categories should either create a Hispanic category so it is more fair or just include all the music made in latin languages in the latin category and then create another one for Latin American music. Or something else. I don’t know, but people should stop blaming the artists unless they say something that is ignorant or like problematic on purpose with the intention of benefiting or hurting.

I think they should just rename it to Best Hispanic whatever. Portuguese music isn’t even eligible.

Albums with lyrics that are greater than 50 percent in Spanish or albums with music content that is
primarily of a Latin genre in style (excluding Brazilian music) are eligible.

A couple of artists are doing exhibits at the Grammy museum this month, including MUNA, Conan Gray, Ingrid Andress, willow, Wallows, and Lucius.

Adding to this previous post of mine, PJ Morton, The Chainsmokers, and Dermot Kennedy have exhibits in October.

And arabs oppressed Spain and Portugal for seven centuries. Americans are the only ones who think that spaniards are “latinos”. Do you remember when Vanity Fair said that Antonio Banderas wasn’t “white” cause he’s spaniard?

Harry Styles‘ “As It Was” adds a 14th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. The song’s latest frame at the summit marks another milestone, as it ties for the fourth-longest command in the chart’s 64-year history.
