Maybe Taylor’s best shot is ROTY, but not SOTY. There’s still 7 months left before the eligibility period is over.
I’m convinced Taylor was second place this year for SOTY, with her win for Best Music Video and Jack scoring for POTY being a good indicator of such.
Anti-Hero has a greater shot of SOTY over ATW because 1. it was a far bigger worldwide hit 2. It is recently written and released.

Flowers sounds like a Grammy bait. White pop, catchy single with traditional production. It’s getting nominations across all the Pop Field and General Field. Harry Styles also was a non factor 3 years ago and now he is AOTY winner.

The blue ribbon committee would’ve taken one look at that CVS receipt list of songwriters and said hard pass lol.
But I do agree Miley is stronger in ROTY than SOTY cos of sample bias. Though there is no official credit, the lyrics are influenced by When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars who is a SOTY darling in his own right.

I don’t see it. Too much competition is on the way. She’ll be long forgotten once Billie, Olivia and Dua release.

Rihanna made the Oscar final 5. Selena didn’t. “Lift Me Up” debuted in BB’s Top 2. “My Mind & Me” charted @ #85. It came & went no where. No way would it be her first win.
The status of Rihanna has changed since ANTi. Voters probably respect her more now.
I listened to RAYE’s new album and loved it. I hope she somehow ends up in BNA or at least in BPDG with Escapism, although I don’t think it will happen.
