I think Lil Uzi’s “Just Wanna Rock” is going to make it into Record of the Year. I don’t know why I just have that feeling as of now. I also see it locked in for Rap Song.
March 30, 2023 at 8:58 am #1205369107Drake/Savage is beatable in the rap field. Her Loss is practically old news at this point, and neither artist is a Grammy favorite. If Tyler drops a new album, he will easily become the frontrunner. Travis Scott is also an option.
March 30, 2023 at 10:44 am #1205369455If All Too Well didn’t win SOTY, Anti-Hero won’t.
The winner of ROTY & SOTY either has yet to come out or will only be introduced to most once the nominees come out.
Most of us were aware that Bonnie Raitt had made a comeback by this point in 2022, but we certainly didn’t think she’d be able to take Brandi Carlile’s SOTY slot, let alone win the category.
With 10 nominees, no clear frontrunner and no precursor peer-to-peer music awards, it’s virtually impossible to predict winners in MARCH.

March 30, 2023 at 2:11 pm #1205369689Midnights chance of only winning something is pop album. It’ll get the general aoty, soty, roty noms but won’t win
March 30, 2023 at 3:41 pm #1205369739arctic monkeys are definitely giving ABBA, but we’ll have to see if their industry reputation is as strong / strong enough
March 30, 2023 at 4:35 pm #1205369804After Harry won AOTY over Beyoncé and Adele … literally anything is possible at the Grammys. Let’s be real for a moment. Grammys is on some other vibe.
But I don’t see midnights in the AOTY conversation because Taylor’s eventual 4th AOTY win will be for a monumental piece of work. Not another pop album. And it’s too soon.
I think midnights is the frontrunner for BPVA by a large margin tho. It has the hits, the acclaim, the sales and the tour. What else do you need?

March 30, 2023 at 6:04 pm #1205369916Honey, the best-selling album does NOT always win Best Pop Vocal Album. Someone else will release and beat Taylor Swift in that category.
March 30, 2023 at 6:42 pm #1205369943Now that things have cooled down, what do you guys think about Miley’s Endless Summer Vacation chances on AOTY?

She will be snubbed because her album wasn’t received well by the critics. She’s technically going to pull a Steve Lacy route for nominations (ROTY, SOTY, Pop Solo, and Pop Vocal Album).
March 30, 2023 at 7:27 pm #1205369977Honey, Endless Summer Vacation was NOT ever happening in Album of the Year. Users are delusional. The album already feels forgotten.

Carried into AOTY on the strength of it’s lead, a la Special.

Filler nom, there’s 10 slots but could miss if there’s more major releases
