I swear to god Morgan Wallen better not get nominated for anything

He’s gonna get nominated. It’s better to cope now then panic once nominations are given.

Ocean Blvd is such a heartbreaking and beautiful record, I loved it. It’s a shame it prob won’t make it into AOTY, but I hope having all those collaborators help her because I think it’s top tier in her discography, you can see her maturity in songwriting.
The only thing I didn’t like were the interludes, they kinda ruin the whole vibe of the album but still I think it’s her best work behind NFR!.

Today’s premieres and their possible (though unlikely in some cases) nominations:

“Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd”: AOTY, BPVA or Best Alternative Album.

“RЯ”: thought it could happen in Best Urban Album but I think it’s too short to get in and besides Rauw has a better chance with “Saturno”. I wish there was a Latin category for performances so that “Beso” is not left to BPDGP.

“Eyes Closed”: ROTY, SOTY & BPSP

“So Much (For) Stardust”: Best Rock Album (If the academy is as generous as it is in 2018).

“Death (MV)”: would like to see it in Alternative Performance but I have a strong feeling they’ll move it to BPSP. BMV also seems like a distant choice

As hard as I try, LDR just doesn’t do it for me. A talented songwriter for sure. It’s just the music is very same-y & slow. Her tracks are great for a playlist. But listening to an hour+ album…don’t know how some ppl do it.

Lana is an acquired taste. She’s truly not for everyone. That said, I want her to come through this era. She should be a grammy winner so I hope it works out soon.

lanas album is VERY good… i’m hoping for a best engineered album win for her, also maybe a&w could happen in soty? its one of her most acclaimed tracks and has great ballot positioning.

I really wish ballot positioning will help ‘A&W’ to score nom in SOTY. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

“A&W” strikes me as a nice SOTY, ROTY, and Alternative Performance nominee, but her best bet is solely the latter.

The album, sadly, is still pop, so, we all know how that goes.

    Eyes Closed debut on Spotify:

    #5 UK
    #17 US
    #23 Global

I think it’s not the debut everyone expected from Sheeran’s comeback.

Sheeran and Shawn in recent years have had to deal with a lot that Stan Twitter argument of “Men in the industry make the slightest effort to stand out” and that has given them a sort of bad reputation.

Ed’s Walmart version of Folklore is not doing well so far but let’s see how it goes after some radio airplay and playlisting exposure. The song didn’t do much for me although I felt the same with Bad Habits, but the latter turned out to be a hit in the end

i see lana submitting “candy necklace” to pop duo/group performance, and unless i’m forgetting a few tracks, it can be a frontrunner.

also, i wonder if lizzy mcalpine can submit “ceilings” for soty, maybe if she releases a deluxe version of her album?

and yet another also, i remember song categories being listed alphabetically by song titles, but every other category is listed alphabetically by artist name right? or am i missing something?

your mom called, i told her, you're fucking up big time!

Be serious! Candy Necklace wouldn’t be even nominated in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The category’s nods go every year only to actual smash hits and pop legends. Candy Necklace debuted #91 on Spotify.

“Eyes Closed” screams SOTY to me. Honestly, it might be top 3 from him for me

I don’t think ‘Candy Necklace’ will even be considered as a “DUO” performance by the Grammys when Jon’s feature in the song is more invincible than Lana herself in ‘Snow on the Beach’. 💀
