Stupid Love would never happen, given the overall picture of noms.
November 27, 2020 at 4:03 am #1203877093Blinding Lights or Circles deserved that Yummy’s slot. Even when we exclude those two songs, we still have a lot of better songs such as Stupid Love or Lose You To Love Me than that garbage.
For you consideration :
Album of the year : folklore
Record of the year : Don't Start Now
Song of the year : cardigan
Best new artist : Phoebe BridgersBest pop vocal album : folklore
Best rap album : Alfredo
Best alternative music album : Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Best progressive R&B album : Ungodly HourNovember 27, 2020 at 4:15 am #1203877099I wonder when Grammys will finally acknowledge Halsey. Manic was a success on BB200. It moved over 1m units since January. I guess the era being DOA singles wise after You Should be Sad killed its chances.
November 27, 2020 at 5:18 am #1203877122The real proof of the Grammys severe racial bias is the egregious snub of Brittany Howard from all GF categories, not some overrated entitled man who probably didn’t even get into the top 20 in the end 💀
Jaime literally generated the most noms for an album from this eligibility season and that’s without even counting the two it got the previous year. Three different genre noms yet not a single GF mention? Bullshit.
If y’all wanna talk about corruption and what not, maybe start with that.
November 27, 2020 at 5:47 am #1203877154XS deserved that Yummy spot.
November 27, 2020 at 7:10 am #1203877342Unnecessary lobbying is corruption. Switching spots on the behest of external agencies in categories is corruption. BRP filtering out album despite whatever chart/commercial success they’ve had is not corruption. I mean, if I said Reputation deserved an AOTY for being the best selling album in 2017 and having one of its single chart for a half year, you’d laugh in my face. Yeah? It wasn’t quality now. I don’t know why this standard isn’t maintained for other artists.
That’s assuming that Abel was even filtered out. While it may seem unbelievable that Abel didn’t make the top 20, it’s not totally impossible. If the voter turnout was low in the pop field, then I imagine the same could have happened across the board. Otherwise, I don’t see why The Weeknd would be left out after a successful year. Certainly purposely banning Abel from the general field so soon after the Dugan saga (with a Black man as her replacement) in a year like this would be deemed controversial and lead to unnecessary backlash. How would they not know this? I still find it hard to believe that they would punish him over the Super Bowl, which is on the same station as the Grammys this year. It all makes no sense.
November 27, 2020 at 7:13 am #1203877347Honey, Justin Bieber is THAT bitch! 4 nominations. #Slay
November 27, 2020 at 7:16 am #1203877352Correct me if I’m wrong, but has any major producer/musician/ artist etc etc spoken up for the weekend? Except drake and nicki, I can’t recall a single one speaking about his snub. There’s near radio silence from the industry.
November 27, 2020 at 7:16 am #1203877356I would have preferred Lose you to love me nominated over freakin yummy.
November 27, 2020 at 7:23 am #1203877364Honey; it’s rather obvious a bunch of white people on the BRP purposely blocked The Weeknd, a black man, in order for overrated white acts like Taylor Swift to win again. White privilege is real. BARF!

You damn well know folklore didn’t snatch anyone’s spots, keep it cute
November 27, 2020 at 7:29 am #1203877379I thought the snub would be forgotten in a week but took three days
November 27, 2020 at 7:33 am #1203877388If folklore loses y’all are gonna like the biggest boo boo the fools. Hatching all these conspiracies about the BRP clearing their way for her (after they purposely blocked her last two albums) 🤡
