I think these nominations set Taylor up to win, her competition was The Weeknd who obviously did something to piss off voters, he’s not even nominated in pop which is popular votes.
In AotY she really doesn’t have competition. She’s probably gonna win half her nominations with the wins being AotY and Pop Album and one of the other nominations. She should win SotY not only is Cardigan is fantastically written but it’s her 5th time nominated and she’s obviously the most consistent modern writer. She’s two nominations away from having the most nominations and she’s clearly not even close to going away just yet.
I think Taylor success isn’t up to her white privilege but to her ability to write songs. Look at the difference in the amount of songwriters between her and Beyoncé.
Taylor usually has no more than 3 songwriters and tBeyoncé has around 7 on average. And at a faster rate.

as of right now I see Taylor taking BPVA and BPGDP, I think Dua will take BPSP. ROM feels too much like old news to me and exile is more similar to the songs that usually win this category, plus I have a feeling she’ll be releasing a video for it soon.

Honestly, billie getting all these noms after her sweep last year is a bit tiring. EIW is a flawless song but I can think of a lot more deserving songs over it, esp for ROTY. I think it’s the most deserving SOTY but that’s about it.

Agree but with 8 SOTY/ROTY nominees it’s not that hard to get nominated if you make it into TOP 20 and the comittee likes you. Literally 40% of TOP 20 songs get nominated. Yeah, it shows she got a lot of support but enough to win? I doubt.
Then why couldn’t Adele get in with Skyfall? Getting nominated in the gf a year after a sweep is really rare so Billie doing it is why I think she can take all her noms.
