H.E.R., the Most Submitted Artist of 2021?

After doing research, H.E.R. seems to have the most potential submissions of any artist in 2020/2021:

1. “B.S.” w/ Jhene Aiko
2. “Better Than I Imagined” w/ Robert Glasper & Meshell Ndegeocello
3. “Comfortable” (From The Photograph)
4. “Do To Me”
5. “Gotta Move On” w/ Toni Braxton
6. “I Can’t Breathe”
7. “Make the Most” w/ Lonr.
8. “One Second” w/ Stormzy
9. “Slide” f/ YG
10. “Slow Down” w/ Skip Marley
11. “Smile” w/ Wizkid
12. “Sometimes”
13. “Wrong Places” (From Songland)

The majority of these songs will likely be entered into R&B. But there’s a possibility for Pop, Visual Media, Music Video, Rap, & (of course) GF as well.

Seeing how well H.E.R. has performed recently, is it inconceivable to believe she may be one of the leading nominees due to the amount of work she has in contention? And which other artist(s) could possibility lead the pack based on their submissions?

Her only chances are with “Sometimes,” that “I Can’t Breathe” song and maybe a weak Melodic Rap nod for “Slide” which will most likely be another “Lord Is Coming”. The rest pretty much don’t stand a chance.

Basically all of this songs are gonna be entered in R&B so the nomination tally won’t be very high. I currently have “I Can’t Breathe” in SOTY and in the R&B categories. It’s really baity and perfect for this political situation so she should really push it.

Maybe “Slide” will sneak in Melodic Rap if submitted there.

LOL I doubt that Cats will be submitted anywhere plus she “distanced” herself from the project so I wouldn’t count on “Beautiful Ghosts” on any category. Also, I don’t think Taylor can be nominated for Producer of the Year for producing for herself. Taylor’s submissions might look something like this:

Folklore – AOTY, PVA
Cardigan – ROTY, SOTY, Pop Solo, MV
Exile – Pop Duo/Group
August – Rock Song, Performance*
Betty – Country Song, Country Solo
Seven OR Invisible String – American Roots Song, Perf
Only the Young – Song for Visual Media
Miss Americana – Music Film
Total: 15

*a longshot but it is a guitar-driven song co-written with a Rock song winner, Jack Atonoff.

Also, “epiphany” is a hymn so in terms of music, it could be submitted for Christian Contemporary Song. However, I understand that the lyrics must incorporate Christian elements. So “epiphany” ain’t happening, but just a thought.

doesn’t this happen almost every year considering that many people score their biggest hits in the year with a song featuring her? in 2020, these artists are 6ix9ine, Meghan Trainor and KAROL G.
