Honey, it’s wonderful that the screening committee got stricter. Since the 2012 Awards, more Dance/EDM acts have gotten nominated and won. I could NOT picture another Lady Gaga win. BARF!

Completely agree, I was just curious about what would’ve happened if they never implemented change in 2012.

do you think if they nominated pop stars Don’t start Now could have a shot this year?

she’d probably submit Future Nostalgia or Physical for BDR and Don’t Start Now for BPSP (she will)

    FYC:

Record of the Year: Hit Different by SZA ft. Pharrell Williams & co.
Song of the Year: Good Days by SZA ft. Jacob Collier

Who Let The Dogs Out is the worst song in music history.

Madonna would definitely have been nominated this year for “I Don’t Search I Find” had it been eligible…

I’m surprised the Grammys didn’t allow Break Free in when Ariana had 2 other BPD/GP submissions, Zedd had just won BDR the previous year and the song was arguably a bigger hit in the US than the other nominees, including Rather Be.

If you ask me, “Latch” by Disclosure definitely should’ve gotten a nomination and win in 2014 in this category, especially when you consider what actually was nominated.

I think they allow popstars or anyone to submit there, but they have to be heavily dance/electronic oriented songs.

Lizzo would’ve submitted “Juice” to Dance Recording and extended her nominations from 8 to 9 😉

I still don’t understand how No Doubt’s “Hella Good” was nominated for Best Dance Recording in 2003. It’s a pop rock song lmao.
