Honey, it’s wonderful that the screening committee got stricter. Since the 2012 Awards, more Dance/EDM acts have gotten nominated and won. I could NOT picture another Lady Gaga win. BARF!
Completely agree, I was just curious about what would’ve happened if they never implemented change in 2012.

I’m surprised the Grammys didn’t allow Break Free in when Ariana had 2 other BPD/GP submissions, Zedd had just won BDR the previous year and the song was arguably a bigger hit in the US than the other nominees, including Rather Be.
