The Pop Categories at the Grammys are one of the few where the nominees are determined by just a popular vote without a review committee / blue ripon panel.

In other categories like Country, Rock & R&B, we’ve seen more nominations from critically acclaimed & lesser know artists in favour of lesser enthusiast work from veteran acts who would typically be a namecheck vote.
