“The Hills” was a major success peaking #1 on Billboard Hot 100, released way before “Can’t Feel My Face”, but it wasn’t submitted for this year’s grammys, maybe just in case The Weeknd underperformed like Ed Sheeran’s X last year, and now nominated for “Thinking Out Loud”.
So according to grammy rules, “The Hills” only would be eligible for next year grammys, if Beauty Behind The Madness lose both album awards (AOTY and Best Urban Contemporary Album).
The Weeknd’s album is frontrunner to win Best Urban Contemporary Album, so it’s a shame “The Hills” won’t enjoy grammy glory thanks to this stupid rule, maybe with a live version?
I consider “The Hills” a better song than “Can’t Feel My Face”, so who knows if it would have swept the R&B field next year and get nominated for ROTY and SOTY.

I honestly don’t care because “The Hills” sucks.

The Hills shouldn’t be eligible next year regardless as It was released and peaked last eligiblity cycle.

It would be eligible if he releases a live version but it’s up to what is submitted.. “In the Night” is a great song as well. He has better luck with that for next year.

Wasn’t it released into this years Grammy deadline?? Don’t see reasons for it to be nominated next year.
