Keep dreaming! Lady Gaga was NOT second in her nominations. Pure delusion.

Get real! Thank U, Next was NOT the runner-up in Album of the Year. Lizzo was runner-up. In fact, Ariana Grande was in 6th place.

Do we have to be angry all the time? I mean we never reacted that loud about your obsession with Xtina.

    R&B FEMALE – 1987

    Anita Baker Rapture – WINNER
Aretha Franklin – “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”
    Janet Jackson – Control
    Chaka Khan – Destiny
Patti LaBelle – Winner in You

Janet Jackson’s Control album probably came in second since it was a strong album and also up for Album of the Year. This category was televised and Anita Baker’s reaction was everything and brought me so much joy.

    R&B FEMALE – 1999

Lauryn Hill “Doo Wop (That Thing)” – WINNER
Aaliyah – “Are You That Somebody?”
Aretha Franklin – “A Rose Is Still a Rose”
    Erykah Badu – “Tyrone”
Janet Jackson – “I Get Lonely”

My guess is that Aretha Franklin’s A Rose Is Still A Rose came in second. The song was nominated for Best R&B song and the album was up for R&B Album.

    1994 Pop Male

“If I Ever Lose My Faith in You” – STING
“The Crying Game” – Boy George
“The River of Dreams” – Billy Joel
“Don’t Take Away My Heaven” – Aaron Neville
“Have I Told You Lately” – Rod Stewart

This is one where I think Boy George would have been second. His vocals are kind of haunting in this one.
