Joshua Bassett’s new song and mv is like a response to Olivia Rodrigo’s Driver License. It’s literally two sides of a breakup. Ykw … this is hella fishy. Idk if their label set this shit up or he’s trying to cash in on Olivia’s popularity but the timing is sus. Also, Spotify said that they’d be watching how Joshua’s song performs because of DL … like umm?? What’s the reason?? Do they say this for other artists too, because this is genuinely the first time I’ve heard it.

So for me it looks like people will look closely on how her second single will do, declare if she is the next real superstar or a one hit wonder.

Her second charting single (she charted with “All I Want”), but her first with an original song. She can celebrate now with a UK and US #1, but there’s going to be a lot of pressure to deliver with her next single and her EP.

Ikr fr like these people jump to conclusions so quick they did the same during grammy predictions every time an artist so much as publicly said hi everyone started theorizing they will get more noms lollll
I had a feeling that this song would not last too long, it seems like it’s already slowing down a great deal but it still obviously is a big hit. I feel like she’ll be a bit like doja and have a big hit that gives her visibility and a decently successful album/ep.

She needs to perform and release/push another single while this song is still hot. They should stop stalling.

Ha knew it! Release week everyone was going bananas thinking she was the next coming of Christ (even I was too), but her song 4th week is predicted to have less than half the debut week points despite having huge radio now.
Next week (week 5) it will be overtaken by UP or Blinding Lights…this thread was a major overreaction lol.

I mean I knew it would never last that long. It’s way too long and it is less memeable plus they haven’t put out a million remixes which is how you get that’s many weeks. I think 5 was a realistic and correct answer though she may bounce back over and get 6, but yeah.
