There’s a new energy surrounding Jazmine this era. Did she change her management or something? I’m loving all of the live performances and promo. Singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl is HUGE. Especially for a R&B artist who is known but not mainstream.

This is the most exposure she’s gotten in her career. They would be foolish to overlook another veteran R&B artist two years in a row.

Get it Jaz! I predict “Pick Up Your Feelings” will go Traditional R&B. “Girl Like Me” f/ H.E.R. could be her R&B Performance/Song submission.

That performance was flawless!!! “Tragic” sounds good and “On it” was just awesomely done. I’ve been looking all over to try to find out if “Tragic” is just a one off release or new single from a re-release or different project. All I know is that “Put It Down” would kill on Urban Radio.

“Tragic” is a one off for now but I have a feeling that it will be included on a deluxe extended edition of Heaux Tales.
Speaking of that album, I’m gonna need Jazmine’s people to hurry up and get us a vinyl edition for release!

ReplyCopy URLJuly 6, 2021 at 2:54 pm #1204331629If I were apart of Jazmine’s label, I wouldn’t submit the H.E.R. collaboration. Isn’t she on RCA with H.E.R.? That would cause conflict with “Damage.” Only one can be nominated by H.E.R, and “Damage” was a big on urban radio. Maybe the Ari collaboration will be her R&B Performance submission. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if “Pick Up Your Feelings” is placed in R&B Performance.

Yeah, I would submit that to R&B Song (and “Pick Up Your Feelings”) since there’s no rule against multiple songs by the same artist being nominated. Performance is where they need to be strategic.

If I ruled the world…
Best R&B Vocal Performance & Record of The Year – “PUYF”
Best Traditional R&B Performance “On It”
Best R&B Song “GLM”
Best R&B Album & Album of The Year “ Heaux Tales”
