Of course I’m not saying every voter would have refused to vote for Joe (just some), just like I’m not saying Selena Gomez gets zero votes in the first round grammy voting. I’m not sure what you have against Blue Ivy, but she has credits going back over several years. https://www.allmusic.com/artist/blue-ivy-carter-mn0003504703/credits Far more than Joe Alwyn. You think complaining about corruption and nepotism is nonsense? I guess you would think that if you support those things. Although I must admit it was very smart of her to wait until all the media was pre-occupied with Oscar Season news before making the changes. But yes, perhaps you should leave this discussion since you’re making less sense each time you post.

Not a single sane poster here agrees with your nonsense.. not even the one who started the thread..you can try convincing elsewhere that ppl wouldn’t have voted if Joe was credited. I have nothing against Blue Ivy and good for her…no voter would have refused to vote for Taylor and an album they liked simply because a new comer could also share the trophy. Unless you are a Grammy voter who votes thinking new comers with 0 previous credits should not get rewarded for a beautiful work even if that means the other creators don’t get rewarded, idk why you are talking so confidently about who would have voted how.

Thanks for implying that I’m insane. I hope we can agree on one thing, Taylor Swift is very smart and knows exactly what she is doing. She left Joe Alwyn off the credits, not because she forgot that he “produced” 33% of the album, but because she knew it would be to her advantage to leave his name off the credits at that stage.

I’m pretty sure Donald Trump didn’t go around saying he would put Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in important roles in the US government before he was elected and that was because he knew how it would look.

    But people defended that too.

This sort of corruption and nepotism cheapens the Grammys. Taylor grabbed her 3xAOTY and decided to poison the well for other artists. But we all knew she never respected other artists, although she does a great show of pretending she does at times.

Interesting to see that tracks on Evermore, still show “William Bowery” in the credits. I guess it wasn’t necessary to update those ones.

But it doesn’t really matter, since the Grammys have now changed the rules to legitimise this fraud.
    https://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=326634

The Recording Academy has scrapped the 33% AOTY rule and now all credited artists (including featured artists), songwriters of new material, producers, recording engineers, mixers, and mastering engineers are eligible to be nominees and recipients in the category. In recent years, artists, songwriters, producers, recording engineers, mixers, and mastering engineers were required to be credited with at least 33% or more of playing time.
