2011 – Pop/Duo Telephone

2021 – Best Pop Vocal Album ChromaticaApril 11, 2021 at 8:02 am #1204191832
As mentioned in the Taylor thread, it’s only really a snub when you considere not only body of work from the claimed snubbee but the alchemy of the competition.
2009 – Best Dance Recording – Just Dance (lost to Alive 2007) (that Daft Punk project is a god damn masterpiece along with every track on it, I’m fine with Gaga losing).
2010 – Album of the Year – The Fame (lost to Fearless) (this album lowkey aged like milk outside of its single so fine it’s genre wins)
2010 – ROTY/SOTY – Poker Face (lost to Use Somebody and Halo) (should’ve won Record, PF changed the culture and still sounds fresh 13 years later)
2011 – Album of the year – The Fame Monster (lost to The Suburbs) (her most sonically cohesive album, should’ve won)
2011 – Pop/Duo – Telephone (lost to Imagine) (this should’ve been both Katy & Snoop’s first win, the actual winner is lowkey embarrassing).
2011 – Best Dance Recording – Dance in the Dark (lost to Only Girl) (this is Robyn’s Grammy)
2012 – Album of the year – Born This Way (lost to 21) (nah, Adele was unstoppable and undeniable)
2012 – Best Pop Vocal Album – Born This Way (see above)
2012 – BPSP – You and I (see above)
2018 – Best Pop Vocal Album – Joanne (lost to ÷) (both are just bland albums, not a snub)
2018 – BPSP – Million Reasons (lost to Shape of You) (don’t mind who wins)
2019 – SOTY/ROTY Shallow (lost to This Is America) (should’ve win Song, record is debatable)
2020 – SOTY – Always Remember US This Way (lost to Bad Guy) (don’t mind either way)
2021 – Best Pop Vocal Album – Chromatica (lost to Future Nostaglia) (prefer Chromatica as a whole but FN has higher highs, toss up)

Poker face would have been a deserving roty winnerApril 11, 2021 at 9:14 am #1204192021
I’m just going to go over the ones I feel were the most obvious or the ones where the award went to someone else who wasn’t as outstanding at that time, in my opinion.
2010 – Album of the year The Fame: This album was very innovative in the pop spectrum and marked a resurgence of electropop music in the mainstream. Fearless evidently won due to cross-genre appeal, which is the same reason Folklore won this year over Future Nostalgia. But Pop albums deserve to win AOTY too.
2010 – ROTY/SOTY Pokerface: Yeah, Poker Face was definitely the Record Of The Year this time. SOTY is a different story, though.
2018 – Best Pop Vocal Album Joanne: I’m not sure if it should’ve been this one or Kesha’s “Rainbow”, but regardless it’s still kind of disgusting to me that they gave this one to “Divide”.
2018 – BPSP Million Reasons: Same thing here, but really this one should’ve been Kesha’s… after having her perform on stage crying as a sexual assault survivor it’s embarrasing how they gave the Grammy to a significantly worse vocal performance in a song that talked about the objectification of women’s bodies (Shape Of You).
FYC | Best music of 2021 so far:
Arlo Parks - Collapsed In SunbeamsApril 11, 2021 at 10:36 am #1204192234
i don’t feel badly about any of her losses, honestlyApril 11, 2021 at 10:39 am #1204192238
Gaga deserved a GF win during her peak. Preferably Album of the Year for The Fame. “Shallow” would’ve also been a worthy Song of the Year winner.April 11, 2021 at 11:04 am #1204192325
The fame is iconic changed the game and would be a great aoty winner
bad romance should’ve been nominated on record and won
poker face should’ve won song against single ladies
shallow deserved song
the rest its most her label fault on the submissionsApril 11, 2021 at 12:08 pm #1204193078
Bad Romance should’ve been nominated to ROTY/SOTY. Nothing more.April 11, 2021 at 8:33 pm #1204194974
Honey, Lady Gaga has NOT been snubbed. The bitch has 12 fucking Grammys. Way too many. PUKE!April 12, 2021 at 1:48 am #1204195167
born this way was the best in its lineup for aoty and pop album, but it’s not like adele was ever gonna lose, apart from that she only has her terrible submission decisions to blame (telephone over bad romance in the gf, you and I over born this way or the edge of glory, literally wtf sis)April 12, 2021 at 9:54 am #1204195804
The Grammys were so ugly in 2011 for filling ROTY with R&B and Rap tracks only to give the award to Lady AntiBLM. That was the only time she deserved ROTY.
I don’t like This is America’s lyrics and Shallow would be her perfect opportunity to win SOTY, but I’m not going to miss out on awarding a groundbreaking song. Though if I had the opportunity to choose a first Rap SOTY, it would’ve obviously been a Kendrick or a 2000s Kanye song.
