Ariana Grande isn’t getting anywhere near the R&B Field.

Caution does sound more R&B than Urban Contemporary to me.

And yeah, nothing on Ariana’s album is coming anywhere near the R&B field even if she tried to enter something.

Needy seems like a more accurate choice considering that it did peak higher and sold more (I believe both are eligible for gold). Anyways her team never submits in R&B so don’t count on it.

needy would be an amazing pick too I hope they try r&b this year she can easily cross over

how do you know do they ask you for permission before nominating?

TUN has a lot of r&b in it even the critics who reviewed it said so in their reviews you dont know more than them

Fantasia revealed tonight that her album is coming this year. She has two collabs one with Brandy and Jasmine Sullivan and another with Meghan Trainor…

Fantasia’s new single is one of the best this year! If she doesn’t get into R&B Performance/Song I will be pissed.

Yup its a solid song from fantasia and I can see the Urban AC charts eating it up. She also wrote the song (no co-writers) which is super dope.

Chris Brown has managed to secure nominations recently. If he gets a hit or two, I could see him contending in a couple categories.

But as of right now, there are maybe 5-6 other albums I could see in UC before Indigo.

Lol nobody cares about Chris Brown. His last nomination was in 2016 for “Only” and he was a feature on that.

I’m skeptical of Chris Brown getting any nominations this year simply because there’s been a lot of talk recently about his past bad behavior, ie Chvrches calling out Marshmello for working with him, or the criticism Justin Bieber got just a few days ago for praising him.

Ciara is an underrated R&B/Pop icon. But her recent albums tend to come and go.

For over 10 years, she’s managed to squeeze out at least one hit every era. “Level Up” was probably Beauty Marks’ singular success. Beyond that, I don’t see any of the other songs having impact.

The album isn’t really getting raves either. She should link up with Jazze Phae again. His sound gave her music personality.
