I didn’t like it. Sounds really dated and generic. Let’s hope remaining songs will be better.April 17, 2019 at 10:01 am #1202856682
I’ve listened to Medellìn 7 times in a row. It’s a grower. I liked it upon the third or fourth listen.
MTV is premiering the music video on April 24th. Maybe the visual will make the song more infectious.April 17, 2019 at 10:05 am #1202856688
I’ll give it a chance then but I’m still hoping it’s not the best song on the album.April 17, 2019 at 10:10 am #1202856699
Medellin is catchy, I’ll give it that. Doesn’t sound lead single-esque tho.April 17, 2019 at 11:09 am #1202856790
Madonna needs to give it up. Medellin is garbage.April 17, 2019 at 11:22 am #1202856817

The days of Madonna, Cher, Janet, Celine, Mariah, & J.Lo having success on Pop radio are unfairly over. Women over 50 (hell even 30) in music are obviously disregarded because of ageism.
This will happen to Beyoncé, Taylor, Rihanna, P!NK, & GaGa. It doesn’t matter how great the material is or how large of a core fan base they have. It’s unfortunate.April 17, 2019 at 12:01 pm #1202856870
I don’t think it’s the age, but how long they’ve been popular. Sia”s managed to do well at pop radio despite being 40.
Mariah found her lane in Adult R&B radio stations; smart move.April 17, 2019 at 12:44 pm #1202856913
At 60, Madonna doesn’t have to cater to anyone since her core demographic of fellow grownups will amplify her first week sales to a number one position in multiple countries and much media hype about the eventual concert tour.April 17, 2019 at 2:08 pm #1202856992
I don’t speak Spanish but I still understood more words in this song than anything from the horribly enunciated “thank you, next” album.April 17, 2019 at 4:59 pm #1202857134
I love the new single “Medellin”. It’s a different sound for her and very catchy with multiple listens. I do think there will be better songs on the album, but I’m very optimistic and excited for this new era. I hope she can get some Grammy love too.
