Check out the live video and the vevo video of this AMAZING, beautiful, gorgeous song! It is perfection! A duet between two men – Mahmood is 29 and Blanco just turned 19. So amazing! I think Italy is going to win Eurovision two years in a row! Just incredible!

After that comment I opted to check it out even if I have decided not to listen to any of the songs before the contest. It was… ok, slightly boring and repetitive, they sang well naturally. “Soldi” was way better from Mahmood.

The song is a worldwide hit! #5 on Spotify. It has had 35 million streams (the second most has had 3 million). Mahmood’s vevo video version has had 24 million views (so far) and the live version from San Remo has had 12 million views (in less than 2 weeks!). It is #1 in the odds to win Eurovision. Even if it doesn’t win it is already a huge hit! The song is the best song I have heard in years and years. Not everybody has the same taste, of course, but most people love this song and their performance of it! I think it’s AMAZING, gorgeous, stunning, brilliant, and I love love love love love love it! It’s already a winner regardless of how the stupid voters vote in May!

Proud to be Italian and to be represented by them, but I think this is gonna be Spain’s year

But… Spain’s song is terrible, awful, insipid – she can’t sing, she can only dance. I disagree with you. Italy is going to win. It is a SONG contest, not a dance contest! She can’t sing! I don’t care what anybody says, she cannot sing! Brividi is a masterpiece and it SHOULD win.

Brividi is the best song I have heard in a very long time – it’s brilliant and it will win! Just stop your nonsense!

Lol I agree with you, I hope Brividi wins as well, but that being said the odds are against my friend, we already won last year, I doubt we’ll win again for a very long time.

Ireland won two years in a row. It can happen and it SHOULD. Brividi has already won in regards to streams, views, and is a worldwide hit. So even if it loses, and let’s face it, hardly any song that deserves to win the contest ever does, but it certainly ought to win! I love it so much!

Ireland actually won for three years in a row (1992-1994), 4 times in 5 years (1992-1996) and were in Top 2 for six times out of eight between 1990 and 1997. Such was their dominace with the juries that almost killed the contest. Once the televoting became the main method of picking winners, they were gone.

I can see that you’re passionate about Italian song which is fine. It just doesn’t do that much for me. I’m actually surprised Mahmood is returning at all and so soon at that.

I saw Spanish entry as well and I disagree that Chanel can’t sing – given the choreography she sings just fine. I think it’s the best Spanish entry in years and perhaps the sort of song typical Eurofan expects to hear from Spain so I predict she’ll finish higher than the most recent Spanish entrants. It’s catchy as hell and I like the part when they go slo-mo at the start of the chorus and lights go down – very effective.

Those were 2 songs I listened thanks to y’all but I’ll try to avoid the rest as last year I didn’t hear any song beforehand and it was a better experience for me than knowing them and going in with songs that I like or dislike.

And so Spain was amazing live and deservedly placed in Top 3 (IMO should have won). Italy’s sixth place was very generous for them.
