Well, at least in Spanish-speaking countries, that’s what gringo stands for. IDK bout you down there.
That’s not true about all Spanish speaking countries, though. When I was growing up in Peru, “gringo” meant two things: Someone from the U.S. or someone who looks stereotypically Anglo.
So you could’ve been born in Lima, but if you have any features that people associate with Americans (green/blue eyes, fair skin, blond/red hair), people will call you “gringo” as a nickname, too.August 13, 2019 at 6:51 pm #1203022826
Gaga has a chance at Collaboration since BTS isn’t going to the VMAS!
With both Shawn and Camila performing, I can see “Señorita” winning that award. MTV will want to have them together on stage accepting an award and pretend-kiss each other or some other “Twitter-worthy” thing…August 13, 2019 at 7:37 pm #1203022862
Que? De onde tirou isso? gringo pra gente é literalmente qualquer estrangeiro.
I come from Brazilian decent living in America. A gringo is an American who isn’t hispanic or latino, that’s what it means for us. But I see how it could be just a general foreigner in other places, it severs the same meaning.
But Rosalia is not a gringa. She’s gonna show Camila who the true Latina is. Even though Rosalia isn’t Latina but you know what I mean.
Rosalia should perform Milionaria instead… that was a moment.
