It should be the record breaking How You Like That. After a week it already has more views than most of the lessers being listed.

Well with this logic they should have also crowned Gangnam Style.

Taylor Swift getting 10 nominations last year just felt very fraudulent. I don’t know if the VMAs can recover from that. Every year they keep ruining their credibility.

yeah… no. This will def get a nom in best Kpop, but after that I don’t see it anywhere else. I see a 25% chance at best group, and mostly because BTS will be nominated for that, and they might stoop as low as to want to fuel fanwars for views and engagement.

    I see BTS on these:

    – Best Group
    – Best K-Pop – BLACK SWAN
    – Best K-Pop – ON
    – Best Power Anthem – ON
    – Best Direction – ON
    – Best Art Direction – ON
    – Best Cinematography – ON
    – Best Choreography – ON
    – Best Editing – ON
    – Best Visual Effects – ON

    BLACKPINK:

Video Of The Year – HOW YOU LIKE THAT
    Best Group
Best K-Pop – HOW YOU LIKE THAT
Power Anthem – HOW YOU LIKE THAT
Best Art Direction – HOW YOU LIKE THAT
Best Choreography – HOW YOU LIKE THAT
Best Editing – HOW YOU LIKE THAT

I feel like with BTS it can go in any direction with the noms. It’s so hard to tell if they’re gonna give into the 0 acknowledgment from the group on their 2019 noms, negative press and hate from fans they got from adding the Kpop category and then snubbing BTS from any real categories besides best group. And I think we all know they really want the viewers that BTS can bring in, but if it’s not a virtual event then BTS can’t attend anyways. They might try to smooth things over and give a few extra noms, or give a bunch of noms, or pull the same shit as last year. I’d say there’s a pretty equal chance of it going in any of those directions. Still don’t see BP getting much of anything either way, definitely not any nominations in the technical categories at least. Putting them at max of 2 noms. Most of their video YouTube views are outside of the USA, and after charting probably around like 30 this week they’ll most likely free fall, so I’m being generous Maybe they’ll get Power Anthem but idk, didn’t listen to enough top 40 this year to accurately guess for this. Don’t see either group getting in for Art Direction, and low chance on BTS in cinematography. BTS might get in for choreo, but if they do, doubt BP will, don’t think they’d put 2 Kpop acts for that. And there’s already Gaga, Dua, Normani and maybe Doja, maybe Camilla, maybe Selena

    video vanguard could be…

    Drake
    Usher
    Jay-Z
    Eminem
    Lady Gaga
    Katy Perry

Or maybe they should just go with a director like Joseph Kahn who is world famous for doing visually stunning videos with everyone including: Taylor Swift, Aaliyah, Backstreet Boys, TLC, Eminem, Janet Jackson, Destiny’s Child, U2, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.
