Little Mix definitely deserve some sort of nomination for the Confetti video! It was one of the best videos released in 2021 I’d say – the choreography, outfits, story, and of course them dressing up as men. Plus two of the three members filmed it whilst they were pregnant. It would be great to see them finally nominated for a VMA category and even win, in their 10 year anniversary year!

The Weeknd won R&B Video for “Blinding Lights” so I wouldn’t be surprised if they place “Save Your Tears” there too.

And I’m not sure Olivia Rodrigo will get in both VOTY & SOTY. Her songs have made a bigger impact than her visuals.

I can see G4U getting Video and DL Song noms.

DL is the biggest song of the chart / calendar year while G4U is more a traditional VoTY nominee; #1 hit right before ceremony; splashy video (choreo, sets spectacle etc); tribute to a classic movie and is already doing far better on YouTube than DL did at this stage in it’s run.

Curious to they’ll do Best New Artist this year, obviously last year was the first they incorporate the MTV Push into the award (already present in the EMA BNA for a decade).

But last year’s was odd because they nominated 5 other artists (Arizona Versas, Finneas, Pop Smoke, Roddy Rich, Summer Walker) in addition to the 12 monthly Push Acts from the past year.
