Expect the ratings to go up this year

yes there are def more fans and social interaction but it’s worth noticing many might not watch the whole show in the official networks, specially cause a good portion of that interaction are from international stans. who knows how much of those in US will sit through of 3 hours of the show tho.

What we can be sure is the response of ceremony’s clips on social media, since that’s what carries the show now

I can only add three nominees on the Best New Artist category, anyone facing the same problem?

If I’m not mistaken, MTV revealed the top 3 for Best New Artist already (Doja, YUNGLBLUD, and Lewis) which is why the predictions center is limiting you to those 3.

There was no point in nominating Billie and Eminem. Those two VOTY nods could have easily gone to Physical and Adore You.

At least those videos weren’t as cringe as The Man.

The Man is an amazing video, not only does it have a great message but the production design and the hair and make up alone are better than Eyelash and Bro driving into the damn ocean.

I’m not going to waste my time watching. If someone ends up giving a note-worthy performance, I’ll check it out tomorrow.

The nominations were a joke and the awards are bought, so I have zero interest in seeing who “wins”.

Since a lot (or all?) of the performances are pre-taped, I bet so was the Vanguard winner’s performance/win in secret to be kept as a surprise.

My ultimate VMA prediction: lowest ratings ever

I won’t be watching either. I will check the winners to see how I did with the predictions and probably Abel and Gaga + Ariana performances since they are the ones I’m most interested in.

well my fave is nominated here again after years so i’ll def watch the full thing waiting for scoops. The lineup isnt really bad (in comparison to the previous two years for example) so this might turn out okay

Will this scrap 1 million viewers ? I feel everyone will watch the performances when uploaded.

The way they are using BTS for Tweets and clout is embarrassing.

ABC running Black Panther without ads and a news special about Chadwick after so wouldn’t expect good ratings for the vmas. Especially since BTS and Gaga/Ariana are the only confirmed performers with a fanbase.
