I just looked up her sales for the album … and wow. Her album debuted at no. 79 on Billboard, and sold just 6000 copies in her first week. Compare that to her other album, which debuted at 216k.. she takes the award for biggest flop in history.

She’s a grammy award winning artist too.  Thats sad.

Honey, I’m surprised Nelly Furtado even sold 6,000 copies.  She waited forever to release this album.  Plus, all the singles released were awful.

Thank God Nelly will be there to break Christina’s fall when she flops! Although poor Nelly will be flattened!

My lord, I know she had no buzz and no single success but those are awful numbers. She is a well known artist, so why??

You’re surprised? Girl took five years off (no, a Spanish album and greatest hits album don’t count) and came back with a track that sounded like it was recorded in 2005. The follow up singles are good, but not right for American radio. Her second album proved that her name alone isn’t enough.

That’s a shame for Nelly. With nearly 3,000,000 Twitter followers, I would’ve thought that she could have drummed up some more support for the album. Was nothing on the album decent? Are most of her followers not in the U.S.?

That’s a flop of epic proportions. I never thought it would flop THAT bad.

Those are “your time is up” numbers if I’ve ever seen any. Yikes.

That’s too bad. The album is good. Nelly deserved much better than this.
