What are some surprising wins you can see come Grammy night?

Not that I’m predicting it, but I can imagine a Common upset in Best Rap Album. With two commercial white acts battling for pop support (Eminem and Iggy) and three fairly young and new rappers (Schoolboy Q, Childish Gambino and Wiz Khalifa), Common can swoop through with an upset. He was able to book the Grammy stage this year + he has a ton of buzz from “Glory.” Best Rap Album could be a “career award” for him. Eminem will probably win it, but something is telling me Common could upset.

I have more then should. I know a lot of people are predicting stay with me to prevail in song and record. But I have Chandelier winning both. I have X winning PVA because Smith is apparently winning so much already. I think there going to give Ed his first Grammy like they did with Bruno in this catagory.

AOTY – X by Ed Sheeran. Ed and Beck are singer songwriters, no featured artist, good producers, but Ed Sheeran has great hits and good sales, so…
ROTY and SOTY – Chandelier by Sia. Stay with me is a very basic song and I have to say quite boring after a while, but Chandelier has great songwriting and amazing vocals, very memorable song, so…
BNA – Sam Smith, its a lock, so… 
Best Pop solo performance – Chandelier by Sia. Stay with me could win here, but if Sia wins this, she has ROTY as a lock.

Actually I have Sia winning all her four nominations, Best Music Video is a lock. 
I really hope Kendrick win something, really, but I think voters could go like this:

Rap perf: Eminem
Rap sung collaboration: Eminem ft Rihanna, but Bound 2 has the best rap song nomination so it could surprise..
Rap song: Kanye or Drake
Rap Album: Eminem

i deserves Best rap song.

Lots of people are predicting Stay With Me to win both SOTY & ROTY, but I only see it winning 1 of those 2. I actually think it could lose both and only win Pop Solo.

I think Chandelier will win SOTY, if not then Take Me To Church.

I have no idea who could win ROTY. Im thinking Stay With Me, but for some reason I have feeling inside me that Shake It Off could win. Chandelier also has a chance.

I have feeling Sam Smith wont sweep like everyone thinks he will. He is definitely taking home BNA, but Ed could take PVA, Sia or Hozier could take ROTY/SOTY and AOTY is between Beyonce and Beck. So I see him taking 2/3 awards.

Sam Smith will not win everything he is nominated for. His strongest possibilties are BNA and ROTY.

Ed Sheeran will win Pop Album.

I will not be surprised if Beck wins AOTY, although I think Beyonce has the slight edge. Very close.

Iggy Azalea has a very strong possibility of going home empty-handed. If she wins an award, it will be Pop Duo/Group.

Miranda Lambert will win Country Album.

Eminem will win Rap Album. His closest competition is Common.

St. Vincent will win her first Grammy (from her first nomination, no less!) for Alternative Music Album.

I could see Common winning Best Rap Album, but I feel like that’s just me really rooting against Eminem and Iggy. 

Predictions:

• Katy Perry will win her first Grammy for “Dark Horse” in Pop Duo/Group Performance
• Sia will win SOTY (still debating between “Chandelier” and “Stay With Me” for ROTY and Pop Solo)
• St. Vincent will win Best Alternative Album.
• Arctic Monkeys will win Best Rock Performance for “Do I Wanna Know” 
• Drake will win Best Rap Performance for “0 to 100/The Catch Up”
• “Bound 2” will win Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song

Here are some of mines:

Album of the Year goes to Beck’s Morning Phase.

Sia goes home emptyhanded (sorry Goldderby/Sia stans).

Robert Glasper Experiment takes Best R&B Album again.

Kendrick Lamar wins both Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song as makeup trophies from last year.

I’m close to predicting a Common upset in Best Rap Album.
