debuting around #20 is very impressive when you consider that the only female r&b artists who have been able to chart there at all (debut or not) in recent years are sza and summer walker
it’s worth noting that it took sza until after her debut album to start going this high, and summer never really debuted high at all

Unfortunately, I agree. Unless it’s a collaboration with a major Pop artist, Normani’s music doesn’t sustain interest. Cardi’s involvement might help the song’s longevity but it’s doubtful.

Yes! Wtf. It’s projected to debut so much better than what was estimated!! 😭
ReplyCopy URLJuly 24, 2021 at 9:24 pm #1204361622Do we consider Kehlani or SZA great dancers? They’re iight. I’d feel weird putting them in a Top 5 list.
No to both. SZA can’t dance so this was an odd suggestion.

sza is just a gymnast so she’s very flexible, agile and has good balance so it goes well with her choreography. But I have yet to see her show top tier dancing like Beyoncé Janet and Ciara that set her apart as a performer. She just has a lot of grace when she dance so it looks nice.

Bish pls, no it wasn’t. She’s a better dancer than Doja. That’s for sure.

i don’t know about that …
ReplyCopy URLJuly 26, 2021 at 5:26 am #1204363416Doja is one of the best new performers. She’s the whole package honestly. I’m not as obsessed with popstars knowing how to dance though. Different popstars do different things and that’s okay.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 26, 2021 at 6:43 am #1204363485I haven’t seen SZA give some choreo. Doja isn’t that much of a dancer. She is definitely more capable than some pop stars and the majority of female rappers who try to dance (Megan, Cardi, female Ying-Yang Twins aka City Girls).
I definitely have found some things Doja has said and done over the years to be cringe-y. And I still don’t think she’s quite living up to her potential and spends too much time trying to mimic what/who’s popular at the moment. But she is about as close to a complete “star” we have in the mainstream pop world right now.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 26, 2021 at 7:07 am #1204363529Lol I’m not even a fan of either of them h*es. They’re both homophobic. True tea. Even though Cardi B is a rapper, her performances always deliver.
