I don’t think anyone expected streams to be so good. I thought it was going to end up with more sales and less stream like No Tears. She does usually get good streams, but I honestly thought the controversy was gonna fade away with the streams. It seems like the less controversy surrounding the song, the more streams it gets. Weird.

But, as good as the streams look right now, I don’t think the sales are going to be good in the coming weeks or even the radio will pick it up. I have already seem viral tweets(100k+ likes) by people saying how they’ll boycott the radio station if it plays GIAW. Also, her recent “feud” with NBA twitter isn’t gonna help the song.
That’s just my take. But the streaming looks good for now, so, we’ll just have to wait, I guess.

God is A Woman might hurt Ariana’s chance with conservative/religious Grammy voters which you can’t deny exist (they’re old).

They are counting the numbers from the spotify app not the kworb updates

Oh how ridiculous. The opinions of far-right conservatives and the already-forgotten “NBA Twitter” spat will have no impact on GIAW’s performance lmfao

Right, literally makes no sense. At this point some of these posters are making idiotic excuses of why she “might fail”. NBA twitter? LMAO.

How is No Tears still rising……that song is awful.

All the Drake songs fell this week, that’s why. It just peaked in airplay, it’s only downhill from here.

It’s predicted to rise to #6 next week.

I doubt conservatives have any impact whatsoever on the song. It’s already being played at some stations anyways, so it’ll be no biggie.

Anyways, she won’t send it to Pop Solo, so there’s nothing to worry about. She’ll probably send it to SOTY and BMV.

No one said that she’s going to ”fail” because of the NBA Twitter spat. Bitch fucking learn to read before spewing shit. The only idiot here is you.
You cannot disagree with the fact that it is going to pull audience out of it. Any controversy hurts. We just don’t know its effect right now. So, try to comprehend what the other person is saying and move on, sweaty.

See, it’s already being played ar SOME stations. If the whole “conservatives” thing is true, notice the big IF, then, the song will be limited to those very few stations that are playing it and the growth would be non-existent or low, in my opinion.

    Buzzfeed News about Ariana:

“Her high-ponytailed appearance on the pop scene five years ago didn’t immediately turn her into a meme-spawning cultural powerhouse like some of her contemporaries on the charts. She was instead relegated to, some argued, pop’s B-list. Despite her overall radio ubiquity, none of her songs really became big conversation-starters or broke through to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. And yet, at a moment when stars whose personas once powerfully ruled the zeitgeist — like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift — are struggling to maintain relevance as the balancing act between pop, politics, and the personal becomes harder to perform, Grande has come out on top. Her less radical shape-shifting helped her find a sweet spot in a landscape littered with pop stars whose own attempts to stay relevant have come off as gimmicky, awkwardly political, or too petty.

Just as she once used Doughnutgate to grow out of the teen persona defined by her iconic cat ears into a slightly naughtier, leather bunny mask–wearing “dangerous woman,” she is using our current cultural moment to, as she calls it, “elevate” her music. It works because she’s always been adept at finding her own lane, making trends and the zeitgeist fit her, rather than the other way around. And now she seems to have more cultural momentum than ever before, reminding us that, as Nicki Minaj memorably put it in their hit “Side to Side,” young Ariana is poised to run pop.”

Nothing but the truth above. Ariana is a queen.

It hasn’t been sent to radio, so if it’s being played (and some of the stations are very big), then it is because people request it and the stations were forced to play it. People like the song.

I agree, but calling Taylor “too petty” was unnecessary. She IS acting kinda petty, but it seems more of an alter ego than anything, mostly for the music.

You clearly said the recent NBA Twitter thing is gonna hurt her. You’ve also been saying that tweets from far right conservatives are indications that the song won’t do good on radio, despite the fact that it’s doing very well on radio without even impacting radio as well. Which is why I called your excuses, “idiotic”. It’s simple english.
