There’s a rumor going around that Sweetener might be a visual album, since she shot a ton of stuff before the album preorder.
But as @RadioGAGAhead said, that could be the intro to the GIAW music video.June 26, 2018 at 4:58 pm #1202574170
It looks like The Light is Coming will turn into “the light is flopping.” It is expected to debut #83. I think she shouldn’t have bothered to promote this song.June 26, 2018 at 5:33 pm #1202574195
Honey, despite the fake news in the last thread, this was a promo single that was never sent to radio xoJune 26, 2018 at 5:38 pm #1202574198
Promo singles don’t usually chart for most artist, Ariana is one of the few that can actually chart them. So TLIC charting low is not a big deal at all.June 26, 2018 at 5:39 pm #1202574201
Also add that to the fact that it came out 2 days before the tracking week began. It would’ve debuted in the 50s-60s.June 26, 2018 at 5:46 pm #1202574207
It is a promo single with a music video. Of course, it can’t perform as a single, but let’s accept that it should have done better with all those promo, hype and music video.June 26, 2018 at 6:06 pm #1202574228
I think it did similarly than Let Me Love You: a song people didn’t like, getting into the chart because it’s Ariana and she sells well. The music video helped a bit.June 26, 2018 at 6:13 pm #1202574238
Honey, promo single my ass! That is an official single. It’s a ki the girls are calling their flop songs promo singles.June 26, 2018 at 6:20 pm #1202574248
It was always a promo single. The video was to advertise Reebok clothing, and a radio release was never scheduled.June 27, 2018 at 4:44 am #1202574617
“The Light Is Coming” certainly ain’t Ariana’s best, but “God Is A Woman” was always set to be single #2 on July 20.
Hey, at least the song charted, unlike “Fall In Line.”June 27, 2018 at 6:50 am #1202574648
What I mean is she shouldn’t have wasted her time and money for TLIC, and should skip the next single, which must be a solo project.
Releasing two songs with Nicki at the same time was a terrible idea. They both need to take a break and should not work with each other at least for ten years.June 27, 2018 at 7:51 am #1202574688
Yeah it definitely wasn’t a good marketing strategy, but Ariana & Nicki are both represented by Republic Records & the video was sponsored by Reebok, so there are corporate interests at play here.
We’ll see if “Bed” is able to rise with some promotion. Nicki still hasn’t dropped the video.June 27, 2018 at 8:42 am #1202574732
Bed is starting good at pop radio, already in the top 40. NTLTC is gaining some real momentum in pop radio recently, so I think it has a shot for #1. It’s already at #3, and Psycho is losing spins at this point.June 27, 2018 at 12:04 pm #1202574875
Honey, at least Christina Aguilera does NOT pretend her flops aren’t singles.
I’m sure “God Is a Woman” sucks too.
