I think ROTY is within reach and I’m very confident about her chances in Pop Solo & Album. NTLTC is going to be #1 on radio soon. Reception to “God Is A Woman” will be telling.

The naysayers are the same ones who doubted Bieber. BRP is gonna have to recognize the younger generation eventually and Ariana has the best voice IMO. All of the people branding Ariana for her Nickelodeon days haven’t been paying attention: Undeniably strong vocals, a strong comeback message, broad media hype, progressive credibility, impressive streams, and popularity across generations… She has the whole package. And despite what people say, NTLTC received praise from critics upon release. I don’t see why the BRP would actively decide not to embrace her if she lives up to expectations and continues to have a huge year at a time when pop music is faltering.

There are valid arguments against Ariana and she can very well lose out to stronger competitors by the end of the cycle, but it’s funny to see posters discredit her by saying the pop field is “too crowded” or NTLTC is “too lightweight” and then predict the likes of Halsey, Xtina, Maroon 5, Bebe Rexha, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, etc.

    Exactly my opinion.

Honey, the delusion is real! You Ariana fangirls are going to be crying yourselves to sleep when that trick is relegated to her usual two Pop nominations.

At least that’s two more than Christina.

The difference being that all of those artists have had bigger years than Ariana has, but ok let’s just ignore facts and logic because everyone who doesn’t think Ariana will get in certain categories is just a hater who has it out for her for some reason.

No one is calling you a hater. You’re playing the victim once again.

Also Maroon 5 and Bebe Rexha don’t have bigger years. Their albums flopped. Having a hit single doesn’t mean you’re having more money or more fame, specially if said single is a hit thanks to Cardi B or FGL.

You don’t need to include Ariana Grande in your predictions. Certainly not. But I also have the right to laugh at who you allege is ahead of her, no? You have no more access to the “facts and logic” that the BRP will use to pick nominees than I do.

You talk about “narratives” one minute and then you talk about… Maroon 5? For real? Who is looking to award Maroon 5 in the year 2018? Someone brings them up every time they get a radio hit. They will get their 1 nod in Pop Duo/Group if anything.

Bebe and Post Malone have undeniably had huge years, but they’ve never been nominated & are not particularly well respected. I’m predicting “Meant to Be” to get 2-3 nods, but for all we know, it can be left out like “Cruise” by Florida Georgia Line and no one would probably care because the song is BAD. If the Grammys only cared about commercial success, then we would’ve seen more nominations for chart-topping “lightweights” like The Chainsmokers, DJ Khaled, Migos, Maroon 5, FGL, Flo Rida, Kesha (old stuff), Pitbull, LMFAO, One Direction, etc.

You like to selectively use commercial success when it is convenient for your argument and you’ve consistently discounted the objective critical success that Ariana has received recently. At the end of the day, BRP generally goes for artists with a combo of critical & commercial success. I’d argue Ariana Grande is ripe for attention if she plays her cards right.

You can bet no one is able to tell you 5 songs from Ariana Grande.

Maroon 5 has many hits. Just with ‘This Love’ you can consider them more popular than the entire Ariana’s discography. This Love, Makes Me Wonder, She Will be Loved, Moves Like Jagger, Sugar, Animals, One More Night.

Everybody knows those songs. Are they using featuring artists nowadays to boost their songs? Yes. But they didn’t do it for a long time. Ariana with just a few years of career is already doing in.

Yes baby, but I meant this year. Of course in the long run Maroon 5 is bigger than Ariana.

Ariana just revealed via Twitter that “God is a Woman” is coming out on 13th i.e. tomorrow and not 20th like everyone was expecting. I really hope it’s a bomb ass song. Cheers!

So excited! “When I’m done you’ll believe God is a woman”. Sounds like it’s gonna be sexy and I’m here for it. Hope she delivers.

If God is A Woman is truly about sex, with that title and lyric meaning she can kiss goodbye to #1 on Hot 100

I don’t think being about sex is a problem. I mean, Side to Side is one of her biggest hits and it’s about the soreness after having sex lol.

But I actually think with the new Billboard formula (sales and radio now mean a lil more than before), her growth at radio, steady sales, and with Sweetener coming out soon, that she could actually reach the top 3 again (maybe even #1) when the album drops. Songs usually rise a bunch the week of the album, and it’ll still be in the top 10 by then. I think NTLTC has more chance of getting to #1 than GIAW. Let’s hope.
