She probably wanted to avoid doing another album rollout while pregnant. She’ll still do numbers when the album drops. But with this iffy single that doesn’t have a ton radio appeal and with the delays, the stability of the album will be a question mark.

The song is very similar to her past two singles Up and WAP. You can immediately tell they’re all from the same and are going to be in the same album.

Cardi was good.

^ That just sounds like a way to justify making the same song again and again.

Cardi will have immediate impact, especially after all the build up. The question is can this be a hit comparable to WAP and Up considering its lack of hook, its same-i-ness and Kanye’s mood killing verse.

“Hot Sh*t” will likely impact the R&B/Rap market more so than Pop. Which is perfectly fine. Not every song has to be a #1 on Billboard.
