WOW, those clips sound GORGEOUS!! Finally, a solid record from her, I did not care for her last record. I think Target is selling a DELUXE CD with 4 bonus songs, so that one is a must buy for me. I love Martina.

I love everything about this song, the lyrics, the musical delivery, and the vocal delivery and in my opinion if you have someone in your life that makes you smile, then there is no way that you can’t relate to the song…”Time Is Love” from Josh Turner. (nodding with a smile)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiU81KIRZ_QFebruary 22, 2012 at 2:38 pm #369518I’m curious about something. How is LeAnn Rimes viewed within the country community? Is she still considered a viable country act or do they mostly consider her a pop artist now?
I recall when she was first hitting the music scene she was somewhat viewed as the next great country act because of her age and her amazing voice. But over the years she tried going pop to varying degrees of success. There seem to be a lot of country artists who don’t like when country acts try to crossover. In terms of her sales and her basic reputation, is she looked upon positively or negatively in the country world?
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 22, 2012 at 4:58 pm #369519^^^ After her first official pop album named Twisted Angel was released in 2002, her next album of all new material named This Woman relased in 2005 was her coming back to country and the first three songs that went to radio from the album made the top five so after going pop she was welcomed back. Her next album was another pop album released only overseas in 2006 and then the follwoing year her next country album named Family was released. The first song to go to radio from it was the only song that really got anywhere getting as far as #14 named “Nothing To Do”. Why the next two songs Named “A Good Friend & A Glass Of Wine” and :What I Can Not Change” did not get any radio time, I honestly do not know. To me, both of them songs should have gone all the way because of what they are about.
A year and a half after the release of that album in early 2009 is when the tabloid magazines shared with the world what had been going on in her personal life. Her current album named Lady And Gentlemen is what got released after her album named Family. The last two songs on it which were brand new songs went to radio but sadly they did not get anywhere either, so I really don’t know how she is labeled now in country music. Before her personal life became front page news, she was already starting to have trouble getting the time that she used to get on country radio and of course looking at how much her last two songs on the radio were not played, its pretty clear that what the world now knows of her personal life hasn’t helped her get more radio time, so I really don’t know how things are going to be for henr when she gets her next album out there which is supposed to be another country album of all new music. Hopefully people can get past what is now in her past. (smiles)
God bless you and LeAnn always!!!
Holly (a day one fan of her)
P.S. Why was I able to get past what got out about her? I guess its because of it being something that had never been shared about her before and so far has not been shared about her again since then. Therefore, she hasn’t made a pattern of it like others have which is of course a good thing. (smiles)
