Not to go all fanboy but…in the 70’s/early 80’s, ABBA ruled the charts all over Europe and they also managed 14 US Billboard Hot 100 hits, including 4 going Top 10. No, they weren’t nominated for any Grammy Awards in that time period. Yes, on several occasions, cases could have been made for ROTY, SOTY, and Pop Vocal.

It’s simple: if they do telecast Best Pop Vocal Album is because Adele is not sweeping. If they don’t is because she’s sweeping.
Also I think Harry has a better chance on ROTY than in Pop Solo Performance. Adele won Pop Solo three times (Someone Like You, Set Fire to the Rain and Hello). And when that category was divided in genres she also won it for Chasing Pavements.
ReplyCopy URLPost and BTS both aren’t likely to be attending. Ed Shereen has only 1 nomination (i guess) so he might not show up either. That leaves us with Coldplay,Sam/Kim,Doja and Camilla.
One BTS member is in the military right now; the others will join in time. So I wouldn’t be surprised if rest don’t show up either.
Camilla only has one nomination. Unless she’s performing or presenting, why would she be there especially if Ed won’t be there?

BTS are not going. There was a rumor about RM attending but it got debunked. Coldplay (i believe) are attending. Camila went when Señorita was her only nom (and lost). Based on what i’m seeing almost all BPDGP nominees are attending.
ReplyCopy URLI don’t get the premise of Harry winning ROTY and/or SOTY, but losing in the pop field. The bulk of his support will come from pop voters in that case, so how could he lose both his pop nominations?
It’s the same premise as Taylor winning AOTY for folklore despite losing in the Pop field I guess. He could pull more rock/alternative votes voting in GF than others in the categories.

You can quote me and no I’m not pretending at all. I genuinely cannot imagine him beating Adele in any category and have said so consistently for a year now. I hope I’m wrong, of course.
I predicted him winning at the Brits, why wouldn’t I predict him winning a Grammy?
And the ballots don’t say anything. Thousands of people vote, there are 5 ballots, come on.
